"Are you angry?" Olga asks, turning to her.

Marina fixes those blue eyes on her, flashing like lightning.

"Very. I really hate being played for a fool. Five contracts all missing the same page could be a coincidence—unlikely, but possible. But that page containing clauses that favor the client and not us is no longer an isolated incident. That's bad faith. That's them assuming I'm an idiot."

"You're not an idiot," Olga says.

"No?" Marina's smile curls and she tilts her head slightly.

Olga's mouth goes dry and heat floods her cheeks.

"No."

"Mmm." That low murmur of pleasure leaves Olga pressing her knees together.

"So, what do we do?" she asks, trying to think about anything other than this woman's lips.

"Two things for you." Marina straightens up and shifts into work mode. "Schedule a meeting with Javier and Jordi—today if possible—and print me three copies of the report, please."

"Of course."

Olga stands, pushes the chair back against the wall, and walks out of the office.

The meeting is set for six fifteen, and ten minutes before, Marina steps out with the three copies in hand.

"Let's go," she says, holding them out to Olga.

Olga looks at her, confused.

"Where?"

"To the meeting."

"Me?" Olga points to herself, surprised.

She usually goes with Marina to plenty of meetings, but not one like this, where strategy is decided or a walk-away call might get made—and definitely not with the company's CEO.

"You're the one who found the missing appendixes. It's only fair you're there. Unless you'd rather stay here making copies."

"What? No." Olga jumps up and takes the copies right out of her hand.

"That's what I figured."

They walk together to the elevator, and when they step in they move to the back—Marina behind, Olga in front of her—because there are four other people inside. The elevator goes down three floors when they need to go up, but neither of them minds. The four people get off there and no one's waiting to get on—unusual, since there's almost always someone—so Olga presses the button to close the doors, and just as she's about to hit her floor, Marina's arm appears and her index finger pushes the button for the parking level.

"What are you doing? I thought—"

"There's plenty of time."

Before Marina can say anything else, the elevator stops at the next floor and two people get on, say hello, and press a button two floors down. Marina moves to the back again and Olga plants herself in front of her, going stiff as a board when she feels Marina's fingers brush hers. Marina eases closer, nearly pressing herself against Olga's back, and Olga starts to sweat, silently praying the two people don't turn around.

"Easy…" Marina whispers without moving, but now she's taken Olga's hand and is stroking her knuckles with one finger.

The doors open and the two people say goodbye without turning, and when they close again, Marina tugs Olga's hand, spins her around, and slides a palm to the back of her neck.

"I've been dying to do this," she says before kissing her.

Olga smiles against her mouth but doesn't waste a second kissing her back, lucky enough that no one else calls the elevator and they make it all the way down with swollen lips.
