Caleb had told Isaac to trim that shit if he wanted his girlfriend to go down on him more. Like Caleb. Who took great pride in sculpting his body hair to all point in one destination - his cock.

Isaac waved the dildo in Caleb’s face, bringing Caleb’s eyes back up.

So they were just going to ignore that the two of them were still hard. Cool cool cool. Had Isaac even finished jerking off?

“You didn’t steal this from your girlfriend, did you?” Isaac said.

“It was the ghost!” Caleb said, finally regaining his senses.

Isaac rolled his eyes. “Why would a ghost need a dildo?”

“Well I didn’t bring it,” Caleb said. “And if you didn’t either…”

“Bro, it’s fine. I know you’re weird about gay shit like this. You don’t need to use the ghost as an excuse. I appreciate it.”

Isaac didn’t believe him. But was grateful?

“This’ll make staying the night so much more fun,” Isaac said.

“We are not sleeping here!” Caleb said.

“Ah,” Isaac said, shifting on his feet, almost guiltily.

Why? Had Caleb missed something?

“What now?” Caleb said.

Had they been banned from the fall festival or something? One last revenge from Isaac’s jealous girlfriend? Why she’d always been so jealous of Caleb was impossible to understand.

“The roads are washed out,” Isaac said.

“My car!” Caleb got halfway to the door before he remembered - he was still naked.

“Your car is fine. The roads washed out below us so… it means we’re stuck here.”

“No,” Caleb said. “We’ll hike over to one of the others. We don’t need to- What’s that look for?”

“We took a wrong turn. The party is on the other side of the lake. You want to risk hiking over in this weather?”

Lightning flashed, followed by a rumble a few seconds later. The storm hadn’t let up at all. It was still raining hard. And in the time that they’d been in the cabin, it had only gotten darker out there.

Part of Caleb wanted to tell Isaac to toughen up. That they’d manage as long as the two of them stuck together. Because if the dildo and words on the mirror were the ghost’s attempts to scare him… they were working.

“Aren’t you glad I brought the cooler?” Caleb joked. Because the other option was to start shivering in fear. And he couldn’t let on how unnerved he was.

He wasn’t afraid.

“Yes I saw you’d brought only the essentials, like the dildo.”

“Heh,” Caleb laughed.

Maybe it would be fine. The ghost hadn’t done anything too bad yet. They just needed to stick together so the ghost couldn’t get them alone.

Or to be more accurate - Caleb didn’t think he could keep it together if the ghost continued to mess with him. Better to have Isaac around so he had a witness.

Their clothes were hung up to dry in the main room, still too wet to put back on. So Caleb stood by the wood stove and air dried himself. He was in the tough position of refusing to go into a room without Isaac, and not wanting to tell Isaac why he didn’t want to be alone.

Like the fact that the towels had mysteriously disappeared from where he’d last seen them.
