He goes quiet for long enough that I worry I’ve said something wrong. I’m about to look back to the phone when he finally speaks.
“Jesus, Finn. Your balls are so full for me, aren’t they? Do you feel them? They’re so heavy.”
I do feel them, gently juggling them back and forth between my fingers. I do more than that, letting my fingers trace backward, over my taint and around my hole, picturing Avery the whole time.
“Fuck.”
Ropes of cum shoot across my stomach, but in my mind they’re landing on Avery’s face, his mouth, his tongue. It is, without a doubt, a world-class orgasm, and for a moment I forget Avery isn’t in the room with me.
One thing our experimentation has taught me is that I’m totally useless after a good orgasm – or, frankly, a bad one, if such a thing exists. As usual, it takes me longer than I’d like to admit to remember Avery.
“Fuck, you didn’t come yet. Sorry.”
He laughs out loud at this.
“You kidding me? I came when you started talking about fucking my face. Damn, Finn. No one would think you’re a virgin with that dirty mouth.”
My face goes warm, but it isn’t shame or embarrassment. It’s lust, pure and simple. But something he said catches in my mind. I’m not sure if it’s the orgasm or the slightly unreal feeling of the FaceTime call, but my lips are loose.
“Why haven’t we had sex?”
Avery’s eyes go from a sleepy, dopey gaze to a sharp-eyed stare in a moment.
“We have. Hell, we just did.”
I wonder if he’s being intentionally obtuse or if this is yet another way in which I don’t quite get something, some social norm no one ever taught me.
“Okay, but not…you know.”
Jesus Christ. If I’m this awkward, we’ll never fuck. He gives me a wry smile.
“My dads would say if you can’t say it, you shouldn’t be doing it.”
I roll my eyes at him.
“Anal sex. Are you happy? Why haven’t we?”
The smile drains from his face, clearly a little taken aback at my willingness to push the subject.
“I guess…I wasn’t sure if you wanted to. Not everyone does.”
To be honest, I hadn’t been sure, either. And when I had Avery just a few feet away, keeping me well-supplied with orgasms, it hadn’t seemed worth pushing. But here, hundreds of miles away, my curiosity - and Ethan and Jamie’s high-speed internet – has gotten the better of me.
“I do. At least, I want to try it.”
He swallows, nodding.
“And you’re sure you want to do that with me?”
I’m genuinely confused at that.
“Who else would I want to do it with?”
He’s turning pink and still struggling to meet my eyes.
“I just…I mean, you might want to find someone else. This was always supposed to be casual, you know. And some people like that casually, but some people would rather keep it for…for someone special, I guess.”
I can’t help but notice he’s putting himself firmly in the camp of not special. And while what we have might not be permanent or even exclusive, it is absolutely special.
