Mano nodded.

A smile spread across Ody’s face. “Yeah. Let’s go.”

Mano pulled out a pan.

“What are you making?” Ody asked, stepping closer.

“Your favorite. Omelet.”

Ody huffed a small laugh. “That’s not really my favorite.”

Mano looked at him, brows pulling together. “You made me omelets every time I came over.”

“Yeah, because you eat healthy,” Ody said. “Eggs made more sense than handing you Nutella on bread.”

Mano huffed a laugh. “Nutella was the backup plan?”

“Obviously.”

Mano cracked an egg into the pan.

“Wanna hit the supermarket? I’ll cook lunch,” Ody said, watching him.

“What are you making?”

“Pastitsio.”

Mano turned to him. “You know how to make pastitsio?”

“Yeah. Moussaka too. And gemista, yuvarlakia...”

“Okay. You’re cooking from now on.”

Ody laughed. “What, you don’t know how? No one ever showed you?”

“Like who? My mom?”

Ody stilled. His gaze dropped. “I’m sorry.”

Mano shook his head, eyes on the pan. “I didn’t have anyone to teach me. I can do basic stuff.”

“I can teach you,” Ody said. “It’s not hard.”

Mano glanced at him. “Moussaka isn’t hard?”

“I’ll make it easy.”

A smile formed on Mano’s lips. “Alright. But I want paid lessons.”

Ody blinked. “You’re paying me?”

“Ten euros per lesson.”

Ody huffed a laugh. “If I’m getting paid, it won’t be like that.”

Mano set the pan down, giving him a look. “Careful what you say next.”

“I want guitar lessons.”
