“Yeah, they are,” he agrees.

“So, we probably shouldn’t fuck it up by fucking around with each other,” I suggest, gnawing on my bottom lip. Hunter’s eyes flash up to mine, but he doesn’t look convinced. Silence stretches between us for a beat too long before he speaks up again.

“Want to watch a movie? Kinda feel like a rewatch of Nosferatu.”

“Never seen it.”

Hunter gasps, brows furrowing. “What?”

“What?” I shrug.

“You’ve never seen one of the most incredible cinematic masterpieces ever created?”

“Dude, isn’t it a silent film? And in black and white? Why would I have seen that?”

“Because you go to Corvus College, numbnuts, pretty sure it’s a required viewing for some classes.”

“Whatever. Never seen it.”

“You knoooow, there are literary scholars out there who believe Dracula had a pretty fluid sexual appetite.”

My eyes crinkle, wondering where he’s going with this. “Meaning what?”

“They believe that he was at least bisexual. But back when Bram Stoker wrote it, coming off the tail end of the Oscar Wilde trials, writing openly about homosexuality wasn’t something anyone could do. Queer relationships of any type were heavily forbidden and criminalized. Buuut, if you know how to read between the lines, it’s there.” Okay, so he’s clearly passionate about more than just rugby. I’d be a dick to say no. Not to mention, I love the way his eyes gleam when he talks about it.

“Alright. I’ll bite. But I get to pick the next one.”

Hunter’s face lights up like I’ve never seen before. Like I just gave him the greatest gift, and he’s trying to keep his cool. Instead of shifting so he’s sitting next to me, he opens his arm, scooting over to the side. I know it’s a terrible idea, but I don’t fight it any more than I fought him in the locker room. I lay down next to him, my head on his chest, and it doesn’t take me long before I fall asleep to the slow, steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

Chapter 11

Hunter

Waking up with Eli cocooned in my arms is everything I’ve ever wanted. His dark eyelashes fan out against the fair skin of his cheeks, his expression so peaceful and serene in his sleep. I delicately trace over his hairline with the pads of my fingers, trying to memorize his features, committing this moment to a core memory I can keep forever.

But as much as I want to stay here for the rest of the day with his warm body pressed against mine, we have a mandatory team breakfast followed by the second event. I drop my lips to the crown of his head, pressing firmly, breathing his masculine scent into my lungs. Eli stirs, pulling back slightly, startled, looking at me with wide eyes before they soften.

“Morning.” I tighten my arms around him, not quite ready for him to leave. “Don’t freak out. Please. Holding you all night was fucking incredible.” Eli regards me for a moment, eyes bouncing over my face. I can’t discern his expression, but then his hand comes up and cups the back of my head, fingers curling into my hair. He pulls me forward without a word and steals the breath from my lungs. I’m only stunned for a moment before my body adapts and instinct takes over. I moan against his lips, my arms pulling his body flush against mine. Kissing Eli is better than I ever could have imagined. I don’t know why or how or what made him kiss me right now, but I’m not going to question it.

Eli licks along the seam of my lips, and I open eagerly for him, his tongue delving into my mouth, caressing and fighting for dominance with my own. He swallows down each and every sound I make, his hands sliding down my sides until he flips us, his strong body lying on top of mine as he stretches my arm above us, holding me in place. My hips buck against the weight of him. I may be taller, but Eli is thicker, and feeling him on top of me like this is what dreams are made of. But I know it’s not submission that gets him going, so I do what I do best: fight him.

I flip us quickly, tangling our legs and positioning him flat on his back. We’re a mess of tongues and teeth, our hands exploring each other, wrestling on the twin-sized bed, the sheets tangling at our feet. On the next flip, we crash onto the carpeted floor below us with grunts.

“Fuck, you taste better than I ever could have imagined,” I moan, low and deep as I bite his bottom lip.

Eli’s hands find the elastic of his shorts, shoving them down his thighs, freeing his hard dick. “Likewise.” He scrambles with the fabric of my sweats before I help him, pushing them down my legs. Then he collapses on top of me, and I nearly pass out. I can feel his heart racing through his chest, his pulse beating wildly as our bodies connect. The coarse hair on his thighs rubs against my own, his cock resting against mine, his ragged breathing—it’s all overloading my senses . . . consuming, demanding.

Eli thrusts his hips, nudging our cocks together, pinning them between us with the best pressure.

“Oh, fuck, Hunt, you feel so good.” Jesus Christ. Those words. Coming from his lips. I’m so gone for this man, I’d do just about anything to keep him. The only thing I care about losing is him. And he’s not even mine. Not really.

Eli pulls back, my mouth chasing his, not ready for our lips to be separated, when his hand comes up. I spit twice into his palm, and he does the same, slipping between us and gripping our dicks together. My head falls back against the floor with a soft thud.

Eli looks between us, bracing his weight on his forearm as he watches himself stroke us. It’s rough, it’s fast, and it’s so fucking good. Precum spills from both of us, and he drags it down our lengths, jerking us in tandem, the heads of our cocks bumping against one another.

Every single muscle in my body is vibrating, my chest heaving, as I bite down on my lip to stay as quiet as possible. The veins in his arms pop as he motions over us, pulling both of us to the edge. Closer. And closer. And closer.

“Fuck. Fuck, Eli, baby. Fuck, that feels so good.”
