“Fuck Angel,” I groan as my own orgasm begins to climb. I hold Mia tight in my arms. I bury my face in her neck and inhale her scent while I fill her with my cum. Lifting my head, I stare at her as pure panic crosses her features and I feel bile rise in my throat.
“Are you okay?” I barely manage to get out.
“Fuck.” She says.
I let her climb off me as she moves to the other end of the bed and pulls her knees to her chest like she doesn’t want me to look at her.
“I didn’t even ask if you had been with anyone else. I’m an idiot. We should have used a condom.”
That’s what she’s worried about? She thinks I’ve been out there fucking other women?
“Angel, look at me.”
Her lashes flutter as she slowly raises her gaze to mine.
“Mia, I did not fuck anyone else. I did not think about fucking anyone else. For the last ninety-three days I have done little other than think about you. When I was on stage every night and saw McKinley in the audience I thought of you. You are the only woman I want. I’d give up everything else. Music means a lot to me but you mean more.”
“What are you saying?” She says as she blinks quickly like she’s trying to make sense of what I said.
“I’m saying if you asked me to, I'd leave music altogether. I’ll give you whatever you want, Angel. Fucking anything.”

Chapter Fifty-Five
JETT
“I would never ask you to leave the band, Jett. Never. It’s part of you. I don’t want to change you. No drugs or other women. Everything else I can live with.”
I motion for her to come back over to me, I know why she freaked out the way she did but she’s too far away. Yet, I won’t make the move. It has to be her.
She comes over to me and throws her arms around my neck. I return her embrace, placing my arms around her back.
“I’m doing what I need to, to stay clean. And other women? That’s an easy fucking promise, Angel. It’s you, only you, forever.”
She snaps her head back and stares at me with an adorable shocked expression.
“Forever?” She says and her tone tells me how much she doesn’t believe that.
“Yes, Angel. Forever. Want me to make it legal? I will. I’d marry you this fucking second. There is no one for me but you. When you know someone is your entire future you won’t hesitate either.”
“Jett,” she says as she shakes her head like I’m insane before continuing, “I know you didn’t cheat on me but it really feels like you did. I’m not there yet. God, I want to be but I’m just not.”
I brush the dark hair out of her face and kiss her on the forehead.
“I’ll wait a lifetime, Mia. However long it takes, I’ll wait. Work through whatever you need to, just don’t push me out of your life. That’s the only thing I can’t handle.”
Sliding my hands into her hair, I gently pull her head back so I can look in her eyes.
“How attached are you to this hair color?”
Mia narrows her gaze at me and shrugs her shoulders.
“I’m not, I guess. Why?”
I don’t want her to think I have a problem with how she looks so I choose my words carefully because it is not about her appearance.
“You’re beautiful regardless of the color of your hair. I prefer the blonde because this reminds me of everything that happened. It reminds me of the day I lost you and the feeling in my chest every day since then.”
