Smiling, I take his hand and stand up.

Tonight, I’m going to get my first proper kiss.

With tongue.

And that’s when Suit storms in.

SUIT

Where the fuck is Elena?

Everyone is congratulating our three new patched members, but all I’m doing is looking for my wife. Maybe she went back to her room? I see Ora at the bar with War, so I stop by and ask them.

“Have you seen Elena?”

She smiles, but there’s a bite to it. “Yeah, she’s in the pole room with Bear.”

I still. “What the fuck did you just say?”

War’s head snaps to me in warning. “Maybe you should take better care of your wife, brother.”

Motherfucker.

Ignoring his dig, I head straight to the pole room. What is she even doing in there? That is not the kind of place she should be seeing. She’s way too innocent for that.

My hands clench into fists as I step into the room.

Bear is touching Elena’s face, and she is smiling up at him.

If that isn’t bad enough, Angel is sitting on the couch behind them, watching.

What the fuck did I just walk into?

“Am I interrupting something?” I ask for the second time today.

Bear glances up at me. “Hey, Suit. How have you been, brother?”

“I’d be better if your hand wasn’t on my wife right now,” I seethe, stepping closer to him. “You dare touch what’s mine?”

“Wife?” Bear repeats, letting go of Elena’s face and stepping back. “I didn’t know she was taken, brother. If I were lucky enough for a woman like that to be mine, she sure as hell would be wearing a patch so everyone knew she belonged to me.”

The shot hits its mark.

“We only just got married,” I growl, pulling Elena behind me.

“Does she know that?” he asks, frowning. “She didn’t say she was taken, Suit.”

Angel stands up. “Bear, get out of here.”

He walks out without another word, leaving me with my wife and my best friend.

Amy, one of the new club girls who I didn’t even notice was in here, and is currently almost naked, rushes past us, exiting the room.

Jesus Christ.

“What are you doing in here, Elena? This isn’t where a Bratva princess should be.”

She comes out from behind me and glares up at me. “I’m not a Bratva princess anymore, just a discarded biker wife.”
