When she reached the kitchen she was happy she had decided to change because Adam was awake and sitting in the kitchen. He looked extremely tired as Mia noticed the bags under his eyes but he smiled at her when he saw her.

"Morning," he said. Mia wondered when he had gotten home.

"Good morning, you look exhausted," she said as she walked over to the kettle so she could make herself a cup of coffee.

"It was definitely a process this morning but it's done," he replied and when he smiled Mia noticed it reached his eyes and they looked slightly devilish.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"The Omens, they won't be a problem anymore," he said. He winked at her then and she got a feeling in her stomach that he meant that the Omens had been 'taken care' of. She didn't want to ask too many questions but she was still curious.

"Why won't they be a problem anymore?" she asked. Adam shifted in his seat. She could tell that he was thinking about whether or not he should tell her more.

"You don't need to worry about that," he replied, clearly deciding not to give her any information. She knew that if she were to hear what had happened she might be sick. It could've only gone one way, especially if they weren't going to be a problem anymore.

She wasn't sure how she felt about the situation. She knew the Omens were a threat, they had been a threat to the Screaming Demons long before she had even arrived in the picture but it had been the life of the Screaming Demons to have enemies. It had been that way from the very beginning. A part of her thought about the 23 Omens who weren't going to be a problem anymore and she wondered how their lives had ended. Had it been horrible? The thought made bile travel up into her mouth. She swallowed hard against the urge to vomit as she focused on making her coffee and took out a mug for Sage too.

Sage walked into the kitchen then and joined Mia at the kettle.

He looked over at Adam. "How's it going?" he asked as he took the cup of coffee Mia offered him.

"Great man, just great. Today is the start of something new for all of us," he replied. Mia knew what he meant. It was the day they no longer had to worry about having any enemies. Sage seemed to know exactly what Adam was saying as he slapped him on the back before they hugged. Mia didn't know how she felt about the whole thing. She knew she should be happy and grateful that they didn't have to worry anymore but she couldn't help but feel as if the whole thing could've been avoided from the very beginning.

She didn't say anything about how she felt as she knew they wouldn't understand.

“Alright, gents, since we're celebrating things, shall we celebrate with a good breakfast?" she asked. She wanted to change the topic and the only thing she really wanted was breakfast. She was so hungry she could have eaten a whole chicken.

"Breakfast sounds like a great idea," Adam said. She looked around the kitchen for a bit and decided to make omelets for them. It would take her a while to prepare each one and she liked the idea of keeping herself busy. She knew nothing would be the same going forward and she wasn't sure what to expect. Of course, she knew that Sage didn't want to leave the Screaming Demons and really neither did she but she hoped that they wouldn't have to be involved in anything so crazy ever again. She didn't want any more gunfights and gangs of people showing up unannounced at her house threatening her life. She could honestly do without all the drama so she hoped there could be a way to make that happen.

She knew it had all made her a stronger person. Everything they had gone through from her then Sage being kidnapped and to them almost dying. Her life had been crazy and fun all at the same time which she knew was a good thing. Most people led boring lives and although she wished her life wasn't as crazy as it was, she knew that she would always come out on top. She was nowhere near the same person she was when she had first joined the Screaming Demons and she was happy to see just how strong she could be.

Mia looked over at Sage as he talked with Adam. She could see how happy he was with the news and she didn't blame him. Out of the two of them, he had had a lot worse done to him than what had happened the night before. It made her happy to see him being so carefree as she watched him laugh and joke. It was a sight she hadn't seen in a while. She really wasn't sure what would happen once Fiona and Grier heard the news but their lives seemed to be looking up. Hopefully, everything would turn around for the better going forward.
