No way.

Never in my wildest fucking dreams did this moment enter into play, by far the sexiest of the night, and there had been dozens already. Mattias tugged us lower on the bed until I heard his feet hit the floor, even as Caspian’s cock teased my still sensitive entrance. The new angle allowed me to watch in the mirror as Mattias licked a stripe up Caspian’s back. Our protector mate loomed behind him like a tidal wave, majestic and rippling with energy, while Caspian proved that he could mimic as well as I could.

He dragged his tongue over my abs and up my chest, kissing my throat, nipping, the way Mattias did to the back of his neck. That crazy loop of pleasure I’d experienced before had nothing on this, as Mattias tormented Caspian who tormented me, while I got the thrill of both feeling it and watching our reflections in the mirror. Caspian’s cock entered me as Mattias took him from behind, controlling Caspian’s movements with his body.

Caspian laced his fingers with mine, pinning my hands over my head, our cries and moans mingling with Mattias’ grunts until it all blended into a roar of sound that might have been our dragons, echoing the pleasure we felt. The night became an endless roll of it, until dawn spilled through the curtains as we lay sprawled, panting and tangled together, breathless and exhausted at last.

Guess they’d found a way to keep me in bed all night after all.

My dragons’ giggles rumbled through my head, followed by a stern admonishment as he announced that dragons didn’t giggle, then I gave in to the heavy fogginess in my brain and drifted off to sleep.

Ice cream.

Mattias had teased us with it and so many other things with his flyby during the most fabulous date night in the history of dates. Didn’t matter that it had been my first date, giving me nothing to compare it to, the benchmark was set. My eyepatch might be firmly affixed over my missing eye as we strolled through Dragon City hand in hand, but at home, I hadn’t put it back on and never intended to again.

We quickly discovered that keeping Caspian in the middle as we walked around helped prevent a dart and dash whenever he spotted something that caught his attention. Unfortunately, we also discovered that I was the same way and right now I had my eyes on a storefront that had not been on our flight path. Colorful tins adorned the window display in several shapes and sizes, under an awning that read gourmet popcorn.

Game on.

I forgot to look before I stepped off the curb, tugging Caspian with me, so we both got honked at as we zigzagged across the street. It was only when Mattias’ hand slammed onto the wooden door I was attempting to open that I realized what I’d done. One in look in those stormy, ocean hued eyes and I was immediately contrite.

“From here on out, I’m putting myself in the middle so I can hang on to both of you,” Mattias said, scowling at us. “There will be no more playing Frogger with the vehicles, got it?”

“Is it still playing Frogger if I didn’t jump on top of the car and ride it until I could jump on to the next one?” I asked, feeling a bit cheeky as I grinned up at him, but only in the hope that it would simmer him down.

It was working. I could tell by the way the corners of his lips twitched as he struggled to maintain his frown. Caspian was his complete undoing with the innocent question he posed.

“What’s Frogger and can I ride on top of a car too?”

Mattias snorted and let go of the door to press his hand to his face. “No, you cannot, but I will dust off the game system when we get home so you can see what I’m talking about.”

“Thank you,” Caspian said, going up on tiptoes to kiss his cheek.

Huffing, Mattias shook his head and opened the door for us. Inside, I was immediately hit with at least a dozen scents all at once, from sweet to savory. Moving around the room, I read the labels in front of the different tins.

“Hi, I’m Hazel. Welcome to our shop. My mate and I make everything from scratch, so if there are any that you’d like to sample, just let me know,” she said.

“All of them!” Caspian blurted. “Please. If that’s okay.”

“Yes please, what he said,” I declared, because there was no way that I was going to be able to choose a flavor or three without tasting them.

“Would you like to start with the sweet, or the cheesy?” Hazel asked.

“Sweet,” Caspian and I said, while Mattias replied “cheesy.”

“How about I start you with one of each,” Hazel replied, snickering as she headed to the back.

Everything turned out to be sixteen flavors ranging from jalapeno cheddar to cookies and cream. Caspian and I chose three each, all different flavors, while Mattias grabbed three cheesy and the other ones that we hadn’t picked, so we’d have all of them to add to our growing collection of movie night treats. We left them in the back of the SUV before continuing our exploration, popping in and out of shops when something caught our eye.

The baby boutique we’d flown past had a fuzzy hat in the window shaped like a starfish and Mattias’ hand tightened around mine. I couldn’t tell if it was to keep me from pulling away from him again, or because he finally had the urge to rush off and inspect something, himself. An image flashed through my head, shared by my dragon, from Mattias’, a wish he’d dared not hope for until recently. I turned to face him and it took a moment for him to drag his gaze off that display to look down at me.

“Would you like to go in?” I asked.

I knew Caspian did, I could feel his Seadragons’ excitement and longing. He wanted that hat. So did I. But I waited to hear how our mate felt about it.

Relieved.

It washed over me in a gentle, rolling caress as Mattias nodded. “Very much so.”
