His emotions were so topsy-turvy I knew he wouldn’t be hard yet, but that wasn’t a problem with the plan I had in mind. “Come on, baby. Some decorations for you came in earlier.”
I loved overnight shipping.
Atlee froze as his brain immediately shifted gears. As the options started to process, he straightened and swallowed hard. “Decorations?”
It seemed like a request for information based on his tone, so I nodded and took his hand to lead him toward the bedroom. “Yes. They’re items that are on your limits list and that we’ve talked about.”
Moving, or maybe just the talk of sex toys, had his brain processing faster. “We’ve talked about a lot of things.”
Brat.
“You’re right.” That wasn’t a question, so I let him stew a bit as I took him over to the bed. “Do you need to use the restroom?”
He blinked but knew to take the question seriously because my boy was smart. “Yes.”
“Alright.” Kissing his cheek, I nodded toward my bathroom. “Take as much time as you need. I’ll be waiting out here when you’re ready.”
Hmm.
Did he need anything else to focus on?
I didn’t want thoughts of his family to drag him down again, so I smiled sweetly. “There is anything you might need under the sink, so feel free to help yourself.”
Bingo.
Distraction in place.
Atlee blinked a few times and swallowed again like he was working a boulder down his throat. I could see him think about responding with words, but after a moment, he simply nodded and headed to the bathroom at a sedate pace.
It was so measured I was pretty sure he was counting in his head, or something equally as cute, but I didn’t draw attention to it. I wanted him distracted and slightly overwhelmed because that would keep his focus on me.
And I was a much happier topic than anything else his brain could come up with.
So I was smart, and was also fabulously organized, because I had everything laid out on my nightstand and the room ready by the time he came back out. He was doing his best to look calm and collected but his eyes widened for a moment as he noticed the candles lit around the room and his new toys on the nightstand.
Oh, that rock was back in his throat but he fought past it that time and sounded almost relaxed. “Ready, Sir.”
There was an almost for anything floating out there but that was probably because he was trying to sound confident.
It was adorable and completely fake.
“Very good. Come here, baby.” I, on the other hand, was actually calm which seemed to help his nerves. “Did you find everything you needed and are there any limits you want to change for tonight?”
We’d gone over hundreds of options and questions, so I didn’t think there would be, but he knew something interesting was incoming.
Atlee blinked a few times before shaking his head, but it was the way his gaze flashed over to the toys for a split-second that gave me confidence in his answer. He’d guessed what I was going to do, and while it made him nervous, he wanted it.
“Yea—” Stopping a slightly croaked-out answer, he tried again as he stood straighter. “I found everything I needed and I don’t need to adjust any limits.”
“I’m glad.” Stepping closer, I brushed my lips against his as I ran my hands over his chest and moaned at the soft feel of the button-down shirt he was wearing. “This isn’t one of your usual shirts.”
Leaning into it and rubbing against him like a cat got a chuckle out of him. “I thought you’d like this one.”
God, he had the best clothes.
“If I’d known it felt this good over your body, I wouldn’t have been able to keep my hands off you.” Letting out a soft, appreciative sound, I kissed along his neck. “I can’t decide if I need to punish you for that or reward you.”
Swallowing back a sigh as I ran my hand over his chest, there was a shiver in his voice that was part arousal and part relief. “I…I kept you from getting in trouble in public, Sir. The restaurant…the restaurant wasn’t like the bar you were talking about.”
