My phone buzzed.
“What was that?” Afro looked around the room. “Did you hear something?”
“I didn’t hear anything.” I reached for the door. “I’ll let you know when they’re on the way.”
“Sounds good.”
I ran down the hallway, and to the only place I had any privacy.
The bathroom.
I pulled the phone from my pocket and read the message.
They’re on the way. You can thank me later.
I typed my response.
What does that mean?
Instantaneously, Franky replied.
She looks like she could be your sister.
If she did, it could be perfect. A scene filmed under the covers could fool the viewers into thinking he was with me, when in fact, he wasn’t. After a few minutes of them believing we had finally hooked up, a revelation of who she really was would cause tempers to flare.
They would hate Eric.
I typed a quick response.
I owe you one.
I hid my phone in the dresser and took off in a dead run to find Bobby.
