“You want me to move in with you?”
“Don’t you want to?”
“I do.” He pulled her into his arms and kissed her softly.

Dylan rummaged through his belongings that fit into two travel bags, which now stood next to the closet in Zara’s bedroom, until he’d found what he was looking for. His left arm still hurt like hell, and it would take a few weeks to fully heal, but Lilly had given him painkillers for it, which he was grateful for.
“I have nothing edible in the fridge,” Zara called from the hallway.
They’d left Ace’s mansion only an hour earlier with the promise to stay in touch, a promise Dylan would keep. The other four ex-Stargate agents were like brothers to him now.
Zara popped her head into the bedroom. “Unpack later. Let’s go get something to eat.”
Dylan turned and rose, the item he’d been looking for concealed in his right hand. He smiled at Zara. “I just need to do one thing before we go.”
He motioned her to come closer. With a furrowed forehead, Zara approached. “Do what?”
“What I should have done four years ago.” He opened his palm, revealing the diamond ring he’d carried with him for four long years. “Will you marry me, Zara?”
Zara slapped both hands over her mouth. “Oh my God!” Tears welled up in her eyes.
“Did you really think I’d just move in without fully committing to you?” He shook his head. “I was a fool to leave you back then.”
“Dylan, I don’t even know what to say…” She reached for him.
“It’s simple. Say yes.” He took her hand and slipped the ring on her finger.
A tear loosened from one eye and ran down her cheek. “Yes, Dylan, yes.”
He drowned out her answer with a kiss and pulled her close. When she pressed her body to his, pain seared through his biceps, and he winced and pulled back.
“I’m so sorry, Dylan,” she said. “I shouldn’t have hugged you so hard.”
He chuckled despite the pain. “You can hug me as hard as you want.” He put his right arm around her waist, and dipped his head to hers again. “Are you very hungry?”
Awareness flickered in her eyes. “I’ll survive if we don’t get food right away.”
“Good. I was hoping you’d say that. ‘Cause I want to make love to you.”
“What about your injury?”
“Forget about my arm. There’s nothing wrong with my cock.”
Zara slid her hand over the bulge in his pants. “Yeah, I can feel that. How about I help you undress?”
“I’d appreciate it.”
Zara undressed him as expertly as was possible with his arm in the sling. He had no other choice but to get his left arm out of it, so it wouldn’t be in their way. He lowered himself on the bed, while Zara peeled off layer after layer of her own clothing, treating him to a striptease that made his cock even harder. And more impatient.
“Now you’re just teasing me,” he said with a smirk.
“That’s the idea,” she confessed and approached the bed.
She ran her eyes over him and licked her lips, before she lowered herself onto the bed, pushing his thighs apart to make space for herself there.
“Fuck!”
