“Shit!” Leopold roared and erupted under my touch. Warm, thick fluid spilled over my fingers, lubricating the slide of my fist over his glorious length.
Sebastian pulled away from my nipple and groaned. A draft cooled the wet skin, making my flesh tighten.
“W-Will—”
A deep shuddering moan reverberated in his chest, and he climaxed in my hand.
Spent, I collapsed back on the bed and placed a damp trembling hand on my chest. That had been the most exhilarating experience of my life.
Sebastian settled beside me and pulled me onto his chest. His rapid heartbeat echoed in my ear. “You were wonderful.”
Leopold curled himself around my back. He tucked my hair behind my ear and kissed its outer shell. “An absolute delight.” He wrapped an arm around me and cupped my breasts. “It’s Sebastian’s turn to make brunch. What do you fancy, Wills? Burgers or hotdogs?”

For the rest of that Sunday, all thoughts of Corrine’s diary disappeared into the recesses of my mind, and I finally got the chance to hang out with Leopold and Sebastian without the pressures and strains of Brittas Academy. We mostly sat around in the hideout, kissing and stroking and fondling each other, taking breaks for warm cider and food.
At the end of the evening, we piled into the four-poster and pleasured each other to sleep. It was both the most exciting and the most exhilarating time I’d spent since joining the academy, and I couldn’t wait for the next weekend.
By the time Monday morning rolled by and we pulled on our clothes, I sat in the back of Sebastian’s jeep both elated and dejected.
What if, despite the kings’ words and actions, this was a one-off event? What if they’d gotten what they wanted and would move onto someone else?
“You’re quiet,” said Sebastian.
My insecurities rolled to the tip of my tongue, but I held them back. “After a weekend at the hideout, a week at the academy seems a bit dull.”
Sebastian glanced at Leopold. I held my breath, wondering what that look meant. A nagging reminder that I hadn’t finished deciphering Corrine’s diary filled my mind. What kind of interaction did she have with these two kings? It was a lot more than the vague explanation Leopold had given me on Sunday morning.
“We can always return next week if you like,” said Leopold, “Although I was thinking of taking you somewhere on the other side of Carlisle.”
Warmth filled my chest, and I exhaled a relieved breath. “Oh. Either would be fine.”
“We meant what we said yesterday,” said Sebastian. “Both of us want to date you.”
“And we’ll take everything at your pace. Not ours,” added Leopold.
“Alright.” I sucked in a deep breath. Ninety-eight percent of me trusted the boys, but my lingering memories of Corrine’s happy diary entries told me that anything could be faked, including sexual desire.
I shook away those thoughts. Right now, being with them made me happy. Their company was an oasis from the grief and betrayal and humiliation I’d suffered. Only a fool would push away that kind of joy.
Sebastian turned right through the academy gates and continued down the driveway. I leaned my head back in my seat and inhaled deep, fortifying breaths.
“Just in time for breakfast.” Sebastian parked the jeep. “Let’s meet up in half an hour.”
After giving each of them pecks on the lips, I hurried to the west wing. It was just enough time to shower if I didn’t spend ages on my hair.
I pushed the door open to find Ashley lying on the bed, surrounded by shopping bags. Rage exploded across my chest and seared a path through my veins. It evaporated the pleasant experiences from the weekend and burned an empty pit in my belly. She had some nerve to show herself after what she had done.
Blood roared through my ears, and my fingers trembled with the need to curl into fists and pummel her smug face.
“You’re back, then?” I snarled through clenched teeth.
She raised her head. “Where did you go?”
A fresh wave of anger crashed through my soul. Her deflecting questions wouldn’t distract me from getting answers. Not this time. “The more important question is why you set me up for a forfeit of the dare and nearly had me killed.”
“It was a prank.”
