The rest of the changing room was silent.

“Fucking hell.” I tucked one end of the towel between my legs, held the other over my chest, and walked through the showers to the changing area.

It was empty.

My bag, my uniform, my costume, my bath towel… Everything was gone.

“Hey, this isn’t funny,” I yelled. “Bring me back my clothes!”

No one spoke. Not even to call me a pig or to laugh at my predicament. I rushed back through the empty changing room, with one hand over my ass and the other propping up the towel at the front. Maybe I’d find my things in the shower room. Each stall, including the lavatories, was empty.

“What the bloody fuck?” I snarled.

How was I supposed to get back to the main building after dark and with a towel that barely covered the front half of my body? I didn’t even have a phone to send Ashley a text.

I lowered my head and breathed hard. My swimming victory didn’t count if it resulted in a wet, naked dash across the campus. The girls had probably arranged for every student with a working smartphone to record my humiliation. I stomped back into the empty changing room and headed for the door leading to the pool. Maybe if I screamed loud enough, Miss Shields would come running.

I opened the door a crack and peeped out. Over a dozen boys from various years stood outside the changing room with their smartphones at the ready.

Bruce stepped forward, flanked by the twins. “There you are, Pigsty.”

My heart jumped into my throat. “Can one of you call Miss Shields?”

His gaze traveled down the gap in the door, and he edged forward, one hand cupping his crotch. “What’s wrong?”

Panic spiked through my heart. I slammed the door in his face and leaned against the wood. Cold terror seeped through my veins, and my breaths came in shallow pants.

“What should I do?”

Maybe I wasn’t looking properly. The girls disliked me, but no woman would subject another to such a humiliating situation… Would they?

Two cupboards stood in the corner of the room, and I blew out a relieved breath. I would probably find my things stuffed in one of them. Right now, I didn’t care about the state of my clothes. As long as they covered my nudity, I could walk out with my head high.

The first cupboard was empty.

The second contained a mop and an empty bucket.

I slammed the cupboard door shut. “Fucking fuck!”

A knock reverberated on the door. I sat on the bench and adjusted my towel. “Who’s there?”

Leopold slipped inside, his face alight with mirth.

“What do you want?” I snapped.

“I heard there was a piglet in peril, and I’ve come to help.” He stuck his hand in his pants pocket. “Don’t look at me like I’m insulting you. I think the nickname is cute!”

“Could you call Miss Shields?” I asked.

“Whatever for?” He stepped forward, his aquamarine eyes dancing.

“The girls took my clothes.”

“Miss Shields can’t help you.”

“Why not?”

“She’s in the staff room, enjoying her well-deserved glass of amaretto.” Leopold stalked across the room, his grin as wide as the Cheshire cat’s. He lowered his voice to a deep purr. “You, on the other hand, will be stuck here all night if you don’t accept my help.”
