“Yes, of course, that’s fine. I could take one of you pretending to be holding up the sculpture so it doesn’t fall on Walter?” I grinned.

“Oh, I like that! You know, if you ever get sick of doctoring, a career as a content creator awaits.”

Jenny handed me her phone and walked over to the sculpture, calling Walter to sit directly under the section that would hit the ground first if it was to capsize. She pretended to push the massive steel structure, groaning dramatically. A flashback to me straddling Jenny on the couch, teasing her nipple in my lips while she moaned, appeared in my mind, distracting me from the task at hand. Focus, Blake.

“Um, I’ve just been taking photos. Was I meant to be capturing your sound effects on videos?”

Jenny shook her head, smiling. “Nah, that’s okay. They were just for your benefit.”

“Thank you?” I laughed and then looked down at the phone and flicked through the photos. “They worked out really well.” I looked up, surveying the sculpture park for other photogenic options. “Why don’t I take a photo of you next to that red sculpture?”

“Sounds good.”

We made our way over to a monumental sculpture featuring vibrant interlocking red banana-shaped pieces of metal which looked striking contrasted against the bright-blue sky.

Jenny also looked striking standing in front of it, smiling at me. Her blond hair, green coat, blue jeans, and black boots offered another stunning contrast against the vibrant red of the sculpture.

My breath hitched as I looked at her through the camera app on her phone. I could not believe she was here, with me. This gorgeous, funny, kind woman who’d saved Amanda’s bachelorette party and wedding and who was now going out of her way to help me. This gorgeous, funny, kind woman I’d had a crush on for well over a decade. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Fuck. I really like her.

As soon as I was happy with the photos, I strode straight over to her.

“Is everything okay?” Jenny asked as I reached her.

“Yes, why?”

“You just look like a woman on a mission.”

“I guess that makes sense.” I stepped closer to Jenny so I was only inches away from her.

“And what’s your mission?” Jenny’s eyes were twinkling now.

“My mission, if you choose to accept, is to kiss you.” I grinned, so close to Jenny now I could smell her faint, floral scent. I wet my lips in anticipation.

Jenny rolled her eyes and giggled. “Talking about cheesy rom-coms...but I accept.”

My hands on her waist, I gently walked Jenny back so she was leaning against the sculpture. She looked up at me, her lips parted, her eyes locking with mine, and then my lips were against hers, my hands scrambling under her coat and top. Jenny wrapped her arms around my waist, pulling me closer. Fuck. As amazing as the kiss was, I was desperate for more. More than we could do at a public sculpture park. I wanted to be naked with her, in private, now. I must have intensified my kissing, or somehow telekinetically transferred the image to Jenny, because she moaned loudly. The moan further increased the pulsing ache between my thighs.

A sharp pain stabbed in my leg.

I pulled back from Jenny’s kiss-swollen lips, flushed and breathless.

“Ouch! My leg. What the…?”

I looked down to see Walter glaring up at me. He was furious.

“What’s wrong?” Jenny peered over my shoulder.

“It's fine. Walter just scratched me. Now, where were we…”

I turned back to Jenny, and Walter scratched me again. “Okay, okay, I get it, buddy.” I stepped back. “Um, has he done this with other people, or should I be taking it personally?”

Jenny laughed. “This is a new thing. But have you noticed he only reacts after I moan? So you should take it as a compliment. Clearly no one has made me moan quite the way you do.” Jenny’s voice was teasing, but I couldn’t help the surge of pride that welled up inside me.

“Well, in that case, I prescribe a course of exposure therapy to cure Walter.” I leaned back in, moistening my lips, intent on making Jenny moan again.

“By the way, how is your ankle?” I asked as we walked back to the car. “I signed up for the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot this morning. If your ankle is feeling better, let me know if you’re interested in doing it with me. It’s only three miles.”
