Chapter One

A Tale with Smutty Beginnings

Nothing quite like a muffin gang bang to start the day off right.

Much better than the crash of thunder that had first woken me at fuck-this-o’clock. The dark sky beyond the rain-splattered window groaned as the storm raged. Flickers of lightning lit up the room, and more thunderous grumbles joined the chorus of overexcited taps of rain against the glass.

But my men provided the best distraction from the storm. Sandwiched between their warm bodies as they took turns kissing me, who could be afraid of something as silly as thunder?

That was, until a loud crack of said thunder caused every hair on my arms and legs to stand on end.

“Are you all right, sweetheart?” Maddox’s voice held an early morning huskiness that caused my blood to pump hotter.

“Never better.” I leaned down to brush my nose against his, straddling his hips. My racing heart from the crashing boom calmed as he smiled up at me.

Maddox caught hold of my jaw and brought our mouths together for a soft kiss. I sighed against his lips, loving the manly musk of his skin in these pre-dawn hours. Loving the way his calloused fingertips glided along my jaw and down my neck, like I was made of something precious. He kissed me deeper, pushing his tongue into my mouth and swirling it with mine.

Callum pressed against my left side and slid his fingers through the back of my hair, while Briar was on my right, nuzzling my temple. Rowan had squeezed in beside Briar and grabbed my hand, kissing each of my fingers. The feisty spy nibbled one of my fingertips, his topaz eyes gleaming with mischief when I shot him a look.

“My human.” Lake wound his arms around me from behind and grazed his teeth along my nape. He stood on his knees behind me, and his dusting of chest hair tickled my back. I loved it.

“My wolf.” I tipped my head back against his.

Briar slid his hand to my cheek and turned my face, our lips meeting softly. His kiss tasted of magnolia blossoms in full bloom, mixed with a faint trace of honeysuckle. A taste of spring to add to the patter of raindrops against the windowpane.

“Enough, physician,” Maddox said, that husk in his voice still present. He lifted his hips and grinded up into me. “This muffin is mine.”

“Still so stingy, I see.” Briar sighed down at him before dropping a kiss to our captain’s mouth. “Very well. I suppose I can share him with you.”

Maddox grabbed the back of Briar’s head and forced their lips together again. “I’m stingy when it comes to you as well.”

“You boorish brute,” Briar told him.

He smirked. “You love me this way.”

“I suppose I do.”

Their intimacy made my heart soar. I loved that they’d developed such a strong romantic bond with each other. They were the only two of my men to have one.

As Maddox reclaimed my lips, Callum nipped at my shoulder and dipped his hand between my legs. His fingers slid under the bottom of my underwear and teased my cock.

Rain tapped the window as the sounds of our breaths grew heavier.

Clothes rustled as they were shed and tossed to the floor. The bed creaked under our shifting weight. There was the occasional wet sound of our lips meeting and pulling apart, mingled with soft sighs and low, murmured words against flushed skin.

Arousal thickened the air, and I felt drunk with it. Drunk on them and each of their unique scents. It was all-consuming.

The temperature in the room heated as our kisses and touches deepened. Hands caressed my naked skin, teeth grazed my neck, and eager tongues followed the dips and grooves of my body until I was quaking.

It didn’t matter how many times we lost ourselves like this, it still felt so surreal to be loved this strongly by the five of them and to love them as intensely in return. I craved each of them in ways I couldn’t put into words. All I knew was I needed them by my side: today, tomorrow, and until I drew my last breath.

Including the one absent from our bed.

A pang went through my chest at the thought of Onyx. He had fucked me hard the other night, then tossed me out of his bed right after without so much as a good night. Beneath his cold indifference, however, I sensed a deep loneliness.

Maybe one day I’d be able to reach him. To break through his icy barrier.

As each of my men took turns kissing me, my heart, that had been aching only moments earlier over a certain demon lord, mended itself. The strings were lovingly plucked, creating a melody that formed in my chest and sang through my bloodstream.
