He wrapped his arms around my waist and placed his lips on the side of my neck, just below my ear. Then he pressed against me. He was hard.

I turned in his arms, and we kissed.

We took our time making our way down the hall. He opened my shirt on the way and put his hands flat on my bare chest. He walked backward through the bedroom door as we kissed again. We managed to avoid the frame.

The lamp turned on. Clothes came off without ceremony, and Dante pushed me down onto the bed.

“There he is,” he said.

“There you are.”

He lowered his body over me and slid his tongue over my chest and stomach as he kissed his way south. He took my cock in his mouth, one hand pinning my hip when I arched.

He pulled off when I got close and grinned up the length of me.

“Come here,” I said.

He crawled up and reached across me for the nightstand, retrieving a condom and lube.

He opened himself up with his own fingers while I watched. I rolled the condom onto my cock, and then he straddled me, slowly sinking down.

I swore quietly, and Dante laughed.

He rode me, hands braced on my chest, not rushing. I kept my eyes open, and he kept his open too. The sweat at his throat glistened in lamplight.

“Boone, I love you,” he said.

“I know. I love you, too.”

I came first, deep inside him, and he stayed over me, rocking up and down. He placed my hand over his while we both stroked him.

Dante came over my chest with his head thrown back, hissing my name.

He collapsed onto me without regard for the mess, and I held him there.

Eventually there was a washcloth, because I had to have a washcloth, and he submitted to it, grinning with his eyes shut. We slipped under the quilt and sheets.

Dante took his side. I took the door side.

“Saturday,” Dante said, half into the pillow. “We’re fixing that eave.”

It took me a second. He was talking about Dutch’s cabin.

“We’ll need a ladder in the truck,” I said.

“You have four ladders.”

“Two. The others are federal property. Shh.”

Dante closed his eyes.

“Saturday,” I said.

He was asleep inside two minutes, heavy against my side, one arm over my ribs, breathing slowly.

I lay there in my house with the lamp off and listened to Dante breathing. I wrapped my arm over him and closed my eyes.
