Before I could process anything enough to even kiss him back, Rolly’s own pants were down and his dick was nudging at my entrance. He slammed himself inside me, hands gripping my hips so hard I was sure they would bruise. But I couldn’t bring myself to care. Rolly had never done this before, had never been anything but sweet and kind and caring, and now he was fucking me like he’d never get enough.
He ripped my shirt over my head, stopping not to help me get it untangled from my arms, but instead to stare down at my naked chest. He thumbed my nipple, and my gasp drew his attention back to my face. “I’ve never been so fucking turned on. The way you handled yourself back there.” He slammed into me again, then stilled, soaking it up.
“You’re perfect,” he said, his mouth descending on my throat. “So fucking perfect,” he said as his lips skated down to my breasts. My fingers gripped his hair as he pummeled into me, and all those emotions I’d been trying to hide from came rushing back. My throat grew tight as he murmured his praise, as he told me I was everything he ever wanted. How I’d met my calling, that I was perfect for this job. For him.
“You’re mine,” he told me, and it sounded like a growl in his throat, the staccato pace he kept up causing me to slide across the smooth wood. He yanked me back into him, and it would have felt like a punishment if it didn’t feel so damn good. “Do you hear me, carina? You’re mine.”
“I’m yours,” I murmured back, lost in the sensation of his body slamming into mine.
“Mine.” He kissed me hard, and one hand left my hip only to snake between us and put pressure on my clit. I cried out at the pleasure that rushed through me. “He can’t fucking have you,” he mumbled. “Don’t want him touching you.”
“No.” It was just a whisper, because I couldn’t focus. Did he mean Alvarez? Was he jealous of him?
“Say you’re mine,” he demanded. “Say you only belong to me.”
“I’m only yours,” I cried, and I knew there was no other truth. Rolly’s thumb rubbed circles between my legs, his hips pounding into me until there was nothing that could stop the wave that crashed over me. My body spasmed around him, and his cock pulsed inside of me as a roar ripped out of his throat. His hips jerked, his lips crushed mine, and every last bit of me felt full of him.
His possession was my new obsession. I loved him; I knew that. But this was a side of him I’d never seen before, and though my breath was still raging through my lungs, though my heart felt like it was trying to leap from my chest, I already wanted him again.
I wanted his jealousy. I wanted his love. I never wanted to be anything but his.
I wanted him to only ever be mine.

ROLLY
The dark blue envelope had burned a hole in my pocket all day. I’d managed to get all the others taken care of, but this one was always the hardest. Penny disappeared down the hallway to Tyler’s room, and Mrs. T was snoring quietly in her chair in the living room. I rose from the table, pulling the envelope from my pocket as quietly as possible, and stuffed the money tucked inside into the cookie jar on the counter.
It was their emergency fund. The money they only dipped into when there was no way to make ends meet. For years, it hadn’t been necessary, but I still added to it once a month. The only one in the house that knew I knew about it was trying to figure out his math homework in the other room.
He was the same one who’d told me about it.
Ty and I had an understanding. He didn’t ask questions, and I didn’t say a word. But once a week, he was to open the jar, take out a few bills, and find a way to sneak them into his mom’s purse without being caught.
Replacing the lid to the jar, I pushed it back into the position behind the pasta container and the salt and pepper shakers, then tucked the empty envelope deep into the pocket in my pants.
By the time Penny came back, I’d been sipping my tea and drawing in my sketch pad for five minutes, pretending I hadn’t just touched a life-changing amount of money in their cookie jar.
“Get it all figured out?”
Penny huffed out a breath as she plopped into the chair beside me, but her smile lit up her face like sunshine. “I thank God every day that my child didn’t get my math skills.”
“You’re not that bad.”
“No, but this new math they’re teaching…” She shook her head, then took a sip of her tea. “Sometimes, if I just stand there long enough, he can figure it all out himself.”
Quiet laughter rumbled through my chest. “I think I’ve done the same with him. My skills tend to lie elsewhere.”
“I can see that.” Penny motioned to the sketch pad under my hand, and it took everything in me not to hide it away from her view.
This whole “let the world see my art” thing took some getting used to.
Penny tugged at the corner of the pad, freeing it from my grip. I couldn’t bring myself to look at her while she dissected the portrait I’d been sketching. Partially because I still wasn’t used to my art being scrutinized, partially because I didn’t want to take my eyes off my sketch.
It was Jael. The way she’d looked up at me this morning before she left her apartment. I wanted to believe the look in her eyes was love, that she wasn’t just reeling from the hard fuck I’d given her in the shower a moment before.
I couldn’t stop myself. Every day she spent time around Alvarez, an easy relationship built between them as she inspected every aspect of his business. Never once had I felt jealousy this strong. Not with the boys she hung out with when we were kids. Not with my friends at the park. Not even with Lev Mizrahi, the only other man she’d ever slept with, when I’d seen him wrapping her up in his arms at Zio’s party two months ago.
