“My swimsuit.”
“I can see the whole swimsuit.”
“That is literally the point.”
“Then why call it a cover-up?”
She stared at me. “Are you somebody’s granddaddy?”
I laughed. “Nah.”
“Then stop acting like it.”
She walked ahead of me, which didn’t help her argument one damn bit. “Kema.”
She looked over her shoulder and caught me staring. “That’s what I thought.”
I shook my head and followed her. That ass was mesmerizing. Fuck now I was bricking up. Sierra spotted us first. “There they are!”
Kema waved, but my attention went to Stephen and Kel standing near the bar. The second Kel saw me, he nodded toward the side of the building. Here we fucking go. “Be right back,” I said walking close to her and whispering in her ear.
Kema followed my eyes. “Where are you going?”
“To talk to Kel.”
“You don’t have to.”
“I know.”
“Ace.”
“I got it.” She studied me before nodding. I kissed her forehead without thinking and walked away. Didn’t even realize I’d done it until I was halfway to Kel. Fuck. He waited until we were away from everybody before turning toward me. “What the fuck, bro?”
“What?”
“Kema nigga?”
“What about her?”
He stared at me. “Out of every woman in the city, you had to fuck with my ex?”
I rubbed my tongue against the inside of my cheek. “Watch how you talk.”
His eyebrows lifted. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me.”
“This what we doing?”
“What are we doing, Kel?”
“You supposed to be my nigga.”
I laughed. His face hardened. “This shit funny?”
“Yeah. You standing here talking to me about loyalty while the woman you cheated on Kema with is somewhere at this resort.”
“That ain’t got shit to do with you.”
