Celeste laughed and sniffed as he had wanted her too. “Watch the sunset with me?”

Zin turned her in his arms, so they faced the mountain where the sun was setting rapidly. Pulling her against him, he settled his arms around her and their child and watched the beauty of the day fade to night.

He felt her shiver against him and wrapped his arm around her as they went inside.

“What did Natalia say to you?”

“She asked me what I wanted for Christmas.”

“Oh, what did you tell her?”

“I told her the truth. That I just wanted us all together.”

“Aww, that’s sweet, what did she say?”

He chuckled. Only his Celeste would call the once feared Viper sweet. “She told me it was boring and that she wanted a dance game. What do you want, my Pixie?”

“Just you.”

“Then you shall have me, but there must something else you want?”

Celeste looked in through the window, and he followed her gaze and saw all the people they loved and who loved them inside without the threat of a madwoman hanging over them, laughing and joking.

“Nope, just you. I have everything I need.”

“Perhaps some of those chocolates you love so much?”

Zin closed the door on the cold night and knew he was the luckiest man alive.
