“Are we packed?” Madison asked with a kiss.
“Yes. The rental is parked outside, and our stuff is already in there.”
She eyed the pad of paper on the table beside me. “New song?”
“Yep. New material. I’ll sing it to you later. Since it’s all about you anyway.”
Her hand cupped her chest. “I love the sound of it. But ‘Kissed By An Angel’ and ‘Maddie’ will forever hold the pole positions in my heart.”
Standing, after I put away my guitar, I faced the girls of my life. “Today’s schedule includes a visit to the aquarium. I read somewhere they have a great white shark, and we can pet starfishes, then dinner at that dinosaur restaurant, and desserts under the stars. Who’s ready for a day of fun?”
My daughters raised their arms over their heads and screamed, “Me, me, me.”
“I made breakfast burritos that we’ll eat in the car since it’s over an hour’s drive. Madison told me you each prepared a presentation. I can’t wait to hear all about polar bears and walruses.”
They both started talking over each other.
My woman watched me and shrugged.
“Ready?” I asked.
“With you? Always. Show me the way.”
With her hand in mine, I led her forward. “The song I wrote this morning, I came up with a dirty version, just for you,” I whispered in her ear. Her face lit up. “So maybe you’ll have another favorite by the end of the day.” I winked, and her smile shook my core. Like it did every time.
“If it’s good enough, I may reward you with a prize. A private show. Since you won’t be able to get a music award for it, you better surpass yourself.”
“I love you.”
“You better because I prepared a presentation too. But it can only be appreciated without clothes on and with a very naughty mind.”
I pushed my hardening cock down with a palm. “Now I can’t wait for tonight.”
“Let’s enjoy this time-out first. Family day is my favorite day of the week.”
This woman, she’d never cease to impress me. Her dedication to us had no boundaries. I dropped a kiss on her nape as she buckled Justine in her car seat while I stored her crutches in the trunk.
“Daddy,” Mikaella said, tugging at my shirt and putting the brakes on my train of thought. “I’m happy you found Maddie. And I love when you’re smiling.”
“Me too, Mika. I’m thankful she found us. And I’m happy you’re smiling so much all the time too.”
I hugged my daughter.
“I love you, Daddy.”
“I love you more,” I replied, kissing the top of her head and closing the door behind her.
My eyes found Madison’s as we both settled in our seats. “Ready?” I asked, leaning forward to tattoo my lips on hers in a bruising kiss that left us both breathless.
“With you? Always. Let’s go on our next adventure.”

MADISON
At five, I woke up, ready to jumpstart my day. Sam’s arms prevented me from moving. He spoke in a hushed tone, his lids still sealed from sleep, “Don’t go. Stay with me. I need your warmth. Sleeping is pointless without you.”
I turned in his arms and kissed him. His hands descended to cup my ass, his morning wood grinding against me.
