He covered her clit completely and sucked, and the fire in her core flared even higher. A steady pulse followed, small flicks of his tongue sending her higher far quicker than she’d ever managed on her own. “That—that. More.”

He caught her free hand in his even as the pressure continued to drive her higher. Pleasure teased, the edge of her orgasm right… there… just… about…

“Logan.”

She swept over the edge. Her orgasm sent her arching against his mouth, fingers squeezing his. The wave rolled from her sex outward, heat flushing every inch of her skin.

A few panting breaths escaped before she sighed, collapsing back to the quilt. Contentment surrounded her, and a sense of rightness and connection. She lowered her gaze to his.

Logan grinned from ear to ear as he moved to stretch out beside her. “You liked option B.”

“Who knew tongues were different than fingers?” Jinx stroked her fingers over his chest. “Your turn.”

He kissed her, the taste of her pleasure still in his mouth. As she wrapped her arms around him, her stomach roared to life.

Literally. The growl from her stomach was so loud they both stopped.

Logan smiled against her lips. “I think we have a different agenda right now.”

“But you didn’t—”

He pressed a finger to her lips. “I had so much fun. And we’ll do more again soon.”

Her stomach refused to get the message that this was a tender, sweet moment, and another sound worthy of a wild animal rolled on the air.

Logan outright laughed. “Want to raid the fridge?”

“Yes.” Jinx pressed a hand to her growling belly. “That’s so embarrassing.”

“Never.” Logan’s expression grew serious. “If it’s something you need, never be embarrassed to ask for it. Food, sex, talking, cuddles. Truth always, right?”

“Right.” She caught him in the instant after he pulled on his shirt and hugged him tightly. “That was fun.”

“For me, too. Honestly.” He held her against him, and they sat there embracing in the quiet for a moment.

“Next time, we do more. Though you were right.” She grinned. Current contentment and future plans for sexy mischief tangled in her head. “You are a good kisser.”

It had taken a little while, but by the time the end of October arrived, Tucker could honestly say that having two kids in the house felt normal.

Ashton had taken over all the minute-to-minute planning for the duration of Tucker’s paternity leave. That left Tucker free to keep in touch with all the human dynamics without working full time, mostly because work was right there and involved all his favourite people.

After the morning routine at the Stewart household was done and the little ones and Ginny were headed for a nap, it wasn’t a hardship for Tucker to head to the barns to work a little and chat with the hands.

Seasons were in transition. With winter ready to arrive, more tasks were indoors or shifted to regular maintenance. They broke out the quads and UTVs and all the fiddly little repairs that got shoved aside all summer and fall were finally being taken care of.

But the biggest thing Tucker was still waiting on was for Sasha to break down and share what was on her mind.

She was her usual active self during her weeks at Silver Stone, especially when she was working with the horses. Watching her ride with Kelli coaching from the sidelines was a joy.

Tucker suspected that Sasha might end up the best rider of them all once she had a few more years under her belt.

But something was up, and no amount of hinting had gotten her to talk yet.

Dustin had been deliberately vague then changed the topic when Tucker had asked after they’d come back from Crooked Creek the last time. “She asked me not to intervene. It’s nothing unsafe, or I’d tell you, but she’ll talk when she’s ready,” he assured Tucker.

So when Sasha stormed into his office the day before she was scheduled to head south, Tucker was ready for anything.
