Epilogue

Miles

Morning sunlight slowly filled our hotel room through the floor-to-ceiling window that looked out on the Chicago River. I found myself waking up with a smile as a naked Dyl scooched back against me, his ass pressing against my morning wood as he began to stir awake. We had snoozed the alarm a couple of times already, but it seemed like our bodies had their own way of waking us up.

I throbbed against him as I tightened my grip around his chest, pressing my lips against his neck and giving him gentle kisses. He gave a pleased moan and another push of his ass against me in return. His body was warm against mine. The comfortable and plush hotel sheets were trapping too much of the heat. I kicked them off before putting my legs through Dyl’s. I loved when our feet rubbed together, almost as much as I loved how good my leaky cock felt against his ass.

Almost. There really wasn’t much that could compete with that feeling.

Except for one thing, of course. I reached between us and positioned myself so that the head of my stiff dick rested against Dylan’s hole. I was hungry for him. Had been since we got into the hotel. We had already fucked three times since yesterday. Dylan had been pent up with playing the final game of the Calder Cup—a game he’d been worried about since the start of the season.

Turns out, he had no reason to worry at all. The Bobcats had won against the Chicago Wolves. They had scored the biggest trophy in their league. It was glorious—although bittersweet without Emmy out there as the team captain—and it was Dylan who had scored the winning shot. He played a flawless game. As did the rest of the Bobcats, of course, but it was Dyl who I couldn’t keep my eyes off out in the rink. He skated with a controlled power and grace that I don’t think I’d seen from him yet. It was like all the pressure he’d been putting himself under during the season formed him into a perfect diamond, shining under the lights of the arena.

It was incredible watching him grow his confidence this season. And I wanted to reward him for it.

I pushed my hips forward. I’d already been leaking against him all morning and found little resistance as I slipped inside him. His moan was loud as he perked up, although he didn’t move much. He just took it, lying there with a hand out and grabbing hold of the white bedsheet.

“Good morning, Calder Cup winner,” I said against his neck, letting myself sink into the delicious heat of his body.

“Very good morning,” Dylan replied with a groan of pleasure as I pushed a couple more inches inside him. “Ohh fuck.”

“That’s it. That’s my good boy.” I could feel Dylan melt into the mattress. His body turned to jello against me. “My Calder Cup winner.”

“Proud of me, huh?”

“Very.” I gave a thrust of my hips to punctuate the point, burying myself fully inside him. I held myself there, relishing in the warmth and the tightness and the completeness of being one with my fated mate. “Fuck, Dyl. I’m beyond proud of you. I see you, feel you, and know that you’re everything and more. That you deserve every trophy under the sun. You are my first place forever.”

“Oh, Miles, you don’t know how good that makes me feel.”

“How about this? How good does that make you feel?”

“So fucking good,” he groaned again. I reached around and grabbed a fistful of evidence, his cock throbbing in my grip. The sheets were soaked from where he leaked. I rubbed my fingers against the wet head of his cock and brought them up to his lips. He took them in his mouth and sucked, his hole clenching around me, milking more of my precum. I slipped my fingers from between his lips, brought them back down to his sticky wet flow and then got a taste of my own.

“This is all I’ve ever wanted,” Dylan said, still lying there, taking me, holding me inside him. I knew in his tone that he wasn’t just speaking about the physical. This went deeper. Our souls tied together in a way that was unbreakable and all-encompassing. A kind of love that was rare to find.

“Me too.” I don’t think I’d ever said a more honest statement. I truly had wanted this kind of connection with someone for so long, I’d just been terrified to admit it to myself. And the block that Macie had placed on me made me think I’d never find it, even when the man who was meant to be my fated mate was standing right in front of me. But it didn’t matter that there were outside forces meddling in our happiness. Because I always chose Dyl.

I always chose us. Fate didn’t have to choose for me this time. I’d made my decision up on my own, and that decision was only reinforced by the hands of fate once that block was removed.

My forever fated mate.

Dylan

My heart was as full as…well, as full as my ass.

It sounded silly, but it truly was a sense of being complete that I wasn’t sure I’d ever feel. And I wanted to hold onto this feeling for the rest of time. Beyond this life and into the next. Whatever came (hah), I knew I’d be happy so long as Miles was by my side. Whether inside me or out, I just needed his companionship promised to me in a way that only a fated mate could do.

Out of all my conquests, all my empty one-night stands, all my failed dates and my shitty relationships, I was so fucking happy that it was Miles who made it through. It was touch and go at first, back when we had no idea what was really going on with our connection, but in the end, that didn’t really matter much. Miles proved to me that he was mine, regardless of what fate had chosen for us.

There was no better feeling than that.

Well…

I wiggled my hips and felt him throb inside me. It made me leak some more. I groaned and reached behind my head, rubbing his, feeling the soft curls of his hair in my fingers as he slowly picked up the pace of his thrusts. It was still relaxed and calm and sensual, and I loved it.

“Miles,” I groaned, my dick twitching, my balls feeling so full. I needed him to empty inside me so I could chase his release, so I could feel the relief.

His hand tightened around my hip. “Fuck, Dyl.” His words vibrated through me. The way he said my name was like a drug. He kept pushing in deeper, deeper, holding himself inside me then thrusting again. That roughness in his voice sent heat straight through me. I reached behind my head and found his hair, dragging my fingers through the soft curls as he buried his face against my neck.
