“Come for me, Willa.”

His whispered demand is all I need. I detonate, screaming out his name, body lurching forward. He picks up the pace of his thrusts, never letting up on my clit. Fireworks explode inside me, all around me, this orgasm even more powerful than the last. How he accomplished that, I have no idea.

Wave after wave of pure euphoria take over. It’s complete rapture, my soul leaving my body for a few seconds. In the distance I hear him say something, but I can’t make out the words. I’m too far away, adrift in this high.

After a long moment, I return, slumping backward against him. He wraps his arms around me, holding me snug as he falls against the bed and rolls us over, our bodies disengaging before he cocoons himself around me as the big spoon.

Being held like this feels better than it should. I have no right to enjoy this. That said, I’d be lying to say that this wasn’t one of my favorite parts of hooking up with him. The postcoital cuddle coma.

I’m sure that if I asked, he’d be here to hold me like this whenever I wanted. Actually, I know he would. He’s done it before when he knows that I’ve had a particularly long or hard day. He’s also been known to randomly show up and snuggle when he knows I’m on my period and just need some comfort.

Which is one more thing I hate about him—how attentive he can be. How he’s a totally different person when it’s just us.

We stay like this until both of us are breathing normal again, our heart rates returned to their regular pace. I roll over, nudging my nose against his chest, inhaling his manly scent. How the fuck does he smell so good all the damn time?

We have places to be and things to do though. And if I let him hold me much longer, I’m going to lose all resolve. And we can’t have that.

I pull back, freeing myself from his arms. Cool air whips around us, making me shiver, my sensitive nipples contracting. Propping up onto my elbow, I rest my head against my hand and look down at him. He smiles at me, my tummy doing flips.

“It’s time for you to go, Nash.”

NASH

Well, fuck you too, Willa Hayes.

I’m not surprised by her reaction. Not at all. It’s right on time. But once—just once—I’d like for us to be able to enjoy this moment. Curled up in each other's arms with nothing but our own heartbeats as a soundtrack. But that’s not how Willa works.

Me? I make it work because that’s what she wants. Deep down, I’m not at all a bust a load and hit the road kind of guy. No matter what people in this town think.

“Five more minutes,” I grumble, reaching for her.

She evades my grasp, pushing me away. “No more minutes.”

Groaning, I roll onto my back, eyes fluttering shut. The bed shifts underneath me, the lush comforter soft against my skin, calling to me to stay.

Just fucking once…

Bam!

The pillow to the face knocks me out of my trance. Letting out an exaggerated huff, I sit up and turn to face my assailant.

Naked as the day she was born, Willa stands at the edge of the bed, hands on her hips, which are cocked to one side, a scowl on her face. Her perfect tits stare back at me, making my dick twitch all over again.

As a former Miss Georgia, Willa is a walking wet dream on any given day, no matter what she’s wearing. But like this? With her hair tousled, skin flushed, and that freshly fucked glow radiating off her? She’s divine.

Even more so knowing that I’m the one who left her looking like this.

“We have to be in the woods in twenty minutes!” Her voice is frantic, like those twenty minutes are all that’s left in the world. “Or did you forget?”

“Yes, I totally forgot about the bonfire, the event kicking off bachelor-bachelorette weekend and wedding week as a whole. Because I absolutely forgot that our best friends are getting married.”

The sarcasm in my tone is so thick you could cut it with a knife. It’s also not well received by Willa. Evidenced by her reaching for the pillow and hitting me with it again.

The fact that she thinks I could forget the wedding of my childhood best friend, Dustin Wilder—or Dustin Wild, if you prefer to think of him as the country superstar—to Kenzie Noble, town librarian, is insane. I know she doesn't have a lot of faith in me, but that’s a new low.

I was a part of their epic reunion after all.
