Scratch that, this was the naughtiest thing she’d ever done. She was taking pictures in her underwear. Sexy underwear. With an insanely gorgeous Irishman staring at her like she was good enough to eat. She could feel the heat of his gaze run up and down her body, letting the butterflies loose in her tummy. When it came to Liam, her feelings might be a little muddled at the moment, but one thing was perfectly clear to her. She wanted him.
Liam made her body come to life. There was no other way of putting it. It didn’t matter if it was a little touch or his kisses, she reacted in ways she hadn’t known were possible. She just wished her heart had a better idea of where it stood on the matter.
The photographer moved her around as needed, putting her in different poses and spots around the locker room. At one point she changed outfits, opting for a sky-blue bra and panty set that reminded her of Liam’s eyes. She didn’t tell him that was the reason though, not wanting to make things weird. Plus, she liked keeping that little secret to herself. Something she would always remember about this moment.
“How do you feel about props?” the photographer asked as they moved into the medical suite.
“Props?”
Avery’s brain immediately flashed to whips and chains, but she pushed that out of her head as fast as she could. Certainly that was not what she meant. This was a sports facility—the only props here were the soccer balls and the players’ cleats.
“I was thinking that maybe you needed a patient to work on. You’re a PT, right? So, if y’all are willing, I was thinking we could get the boyfriend on your table.”
Boyfriend. There was that word again.
The more this lady used it, the more Avery liked it. The butterflies in her tummy had turned into full-on birds at this point for all the fluttering they were doing, and it made Avery want to curl up in Liam’s arms. Made her crave his touch.
Please, please, please, let him agree…
“I like it. As long as Liam is okay with it,” she said. Turning to him, she said a silent plea that he would be.
“If that’s what you want, love, then that’s what we’ll do.”
“Great, then down to your skivvies and up on the table,” the photographer instructed.
Liam wasted no time in ridding himself of his clothes, tossing them off to the side where they would be out of the picture. He hopped up onto the table, his dark gray boxer briefs doing very little to hide his erection. Avery smiled, closing the gap between them and running a hand along his abs.
“Seems you like what you see,” she teased, leaning into him.
“Very much,” he told her, leaning in farther. “I’m not sure why that was in doubt.”
“Because I’m…”
Liam captured her wrist in his hand, lifting off his stomach and bringing it to his mouth. He placed a gentle kiss in her palm, sending a shiver through her. Their eyes met, locking onto each other, while the camera continued to click rapidly in the background. Avery couldn’t have cared less about the camera right now, though. She was too busy getting lost in Liam’s ocean-blue irises.
“Because you’re beautiful,” he whispered, placing another kiss on her palm. “And I don’t want you to ever forget that.”
“Okay,” she exhaled. “But I need you to please do something for me in return then.”
“Anything.”
“I want you to remember that you are not second-rate. You are incredible. And Orla was an idiot for choosing Patrick over you.”
The words had barely left her when she felt Liam’s mouth press against hers, hot and fast. Before she knew what was happening, he lifted her off the ground, placing her in his lap. She continued to kiss him, never letting up as she shifted so she was straddling him. They continued to kiss, Liam’s hands finding her ass and taking hold, until Avery was pretty sure she couldn’t see straight.
A small cough pulled them out of the haze, Avery turning to find the photographer looking at them, a knowing smile on her face. Shit, she’d totally forgotten about her. So much for behaving.
“Sorry,” Avery muttered, watching out of the corner of her eye as Liam wiped her lipstick from his mouth.
“Don’t be. I got some great shots. And you’re far from the most out of control I’ve had a couple get.”
"That’s good to know,” Liam muttered under his breath.
“I think I have everything, unless there is something else you want.”
Avery glanced back into the locker room, mentally taking inventory of the other outfits in there. The few pieces that were left were pretty, but nothing called out to her. This was already one of the best experiences of her life, and she knew that whatever was captured by the camera, her by herself or this stolen moment with Liam, would be perfect.
Glancing back at Liam, inspiration hit her out of nowhere. He’d put this whole thing together for her so that she could find her sexy. And she’d found it alright. Now it was time to use it to give him something in return.
