“Are you sure?” he asked, thankfully following where she was going with this.

She nodded. “I’ve never been more sure of anything.”

Pushing up to his knees, Holden leaned over her and slowly started kissing his way down her body. He paused briefly to toy with her nipples, sending new sparks through her body. When he got to her hips, he placed a kiss on each one before moving back up to her mouth. Settling himself between her legs, he placed his cock at her entrance and slowly guided himself in. Gigi groaned, feeling herself adjusting to him inside her. It’d been a long time since she’d had sex, and never with anyone as impressive as Holden. Just as carefully as he’d entered her, he slid back out, and Gigi whimpered at the loss of him. A few more strokes and Holden found a steady rhythm, driving her crazy with each one. His actions were unhurried, easy, as if he had nowhere else to be, and loving her was his only priority.

Was this what this was supposed to be like? Every movement sent her further and further into oblivion, like nothing else she’d ever experienced. She craved his touch and everything it made her feel. Her entire body was on fire, almost as if every nerve was sitting along her skin waiting to be ignited. Shifting her hips, she ground herself against him, chasing the delicious friction their conjoined bodies were creating. Holden thrust harder, his dick hitting her in all the right places.

Gigi could feel another orgasm building inside of her. Arching her back, she whimpered, trying to meet him thrust for thrust, wanting to find her release. Holden reached down and found her clit with his fingers, rubbing it furiously. A second later, Gigi exploded, her climax washing over her, sending her reeling. For the first time in her life, she saw stars, and her eyes slammed shut, her entire body vibrating. The sound that escaped from her was something she’d never heard before, and the only reason she knew it came from her was that it was soon drowned out by a guttural groan coming from Holden as his own release hit.

After a few more strokes, he collapsed back onto the bed beside her. Gigi only had a few seconds to try and catch her breath before Holden rolled her onto her side and pulled her into him. The warmth coming off of his skin was welcoming, and Gigi couldn’t help but snuggle into him as he wrapped his large body around her. Her heart was still racing, despite how calm and relaxed she felt. Sex had never felt this good, this right. If this is how it was supposed to be, she now understood why Holden questioned the name of the cake. No baked good in the world came close to what she’d just experienced.

Gigi felt the tickle of Holden’s beard against her bare shoulder as he placed a few soft kisses there. She giggled from the feel of it, hoping it encouraged him to continue.

“I don’t know about you, sweetheart, but I think we might need to make sticky buns more often.”

Gigi

Thoughts whizzed through Gigi’s brain at a speed that she’d never experienced. It was almost enough to make her dizzy. But she couldn’t stop them, and they just kept coming.

Did that really just happen? Did he enjoy it? He must have if he made the sticky bun comment, right? What if he was just saying that? What if I was bad? He’s still cuddling me, so that’s a good sign, right? What does this make us? Are we a couple? Dating? What if he doesn’t want that?

She told herself to take a deep breath. Answers were not going to come from freaking out. And nothing good could come from being that girl. Was it still considered “being that girl” in your thirties? Gigi had no idea.

What she did know, however, was that was easily the best sexual experience of her life. And she wanted to experience it again and again. She just also wanted the more that came with a relationship.

Holden shifted behind her, still keeping her in his arms as he kissed his way up her neck. Nipping lightly at her earlobe, he pulled her hips closer into him, and Gigi couldn’t help but let herself melt into him. Despite all the questions in her head, the rest of her was consumed with all the feels, as if she were floating on some white fluffy cloud.

“You remembered to turn the oven off, right?” Holden said, not letting up on his kisses.

Gigi could hear the lightness in his voice, but it didn’t stop her heart from jumping into her throat.

“Yes…” she told him. She had turned the oven off, right? “I think…”

She quickly ran through her motions before running up here to have him taste her creation. It felt like forever ago now and for the life of her, she couldn’t remember. Panic took over her, and she jerked away from Holden, popping up out of the bed.

“Oh for heaven’s sake!”

“Gigi!” Holden said, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her back into him. “I was joking. If the oven is still on it’s fine. We can turn it off later.”

“But what if it catches fire!” she exclaimed, her voice sounding a lot more fragile than she wanted it to. She would never, ever forgive herself if she burned down this house too.

“Would it make you feel better if I went and looked?” he asked, a look of concern in his eyes. She wasn’t sure if it was over the oven or just because she was maybe coming off a little insane.

“Do I sound crazy if I say yes?”

“No,” he said, placing a kiss on her temple. “Be right back.”

Holden squeezed her tight, planting a sloppy, wet kiss on her cheek before pushing himself off the bed and sauntering out of the room. Gigi watched his stunning backside as he strolled down the hall toward the back stairs fully naked. Damn, he’s got a nice ass. All that running had toned him in all the right places, making for quite the view. She felt herself flush, slightly embarrassed by how unashamedly she’d been watching him, and looked down at her own naked body. No part of her had thought anything about it just a moment ago, when she was wrapped up in Holden’s arms, but now the moment was gone, and she was just the naked girl in his bed.

Unsure of what came next in situations like these, Gigi grabbed her clothes off the floor and held them up to her chest, shielding herself, like the only other person in this house hadn’t just kissed his way up and down her body, making her see stars in the process. This was all so new to her, leaving her to wonder what protocol was here—was there even one? Did she stay and wait for him to come back? Was this her cue to leave? Leaving was probably the better idea. It was only a dozen or so steps to her room, and if she hurried, she could make it there before he returned and she had to face him. She tiptoed out of his bedroom, trying to be as quiet as possible, still holding her clothes up against herself.

“It was off,” Holden said, as he crested the top of the back staircase. His voice startled her, and she froze, halfway to her room. The deer in headlights look that she knew was painted on her face made her feel self-conscious all over again, but she couldn’t move. “Where are you going?”

“Oh, ummm, just back to my room,” she stammered, taking in his glorious naked form, this time from the front. It was like staring at the David, in awe of his beauty, just with tattoos and a much better package.

“Why?”
