“I’m coming, Jasper. Oh god, Oh.” The last sound trailed off into a long keening moan.
Squatch threw his head back as his orgasm ripped through him.
He held her there against the door until their breathing slowed a fraction. When he pulled out, a gush of liquid followed reminding him he hadn’t gloved up.
Instead of being horrified, he was strangely at peace with it. It felt different, being in her raw. Not once had he been inside a pussy without a condom.
“That was the first for me. No condom.”
“Me too.”
The smile was impossible to hide as he led her over to the bed.
“Why are you grinning like that?” she asked as he shucked his jeans completely.
“We shared a first.” It was sappy, but it meant something to him. He plopped on the bed next to her. Turning on his side toward her, he planted his elbow on the bed and rested his head on his hand. “That and you kept the socks on.” He kissed her. “And my shirt. I like you in my clothes.”
She pulled his shirt over her head, then removed the socks.
“Well, they weren’t exactly essential for removal to be pounded against the door by the big bad biker.”
Squatch didn’t know how to bring it up subtly, that was never his strong suit, so he just blurted it out.
“Are you on the pill?”
Dev shook her head. “No, I don’t react well.”
His heart beat faster, so there was the possibility they could’ve made a baby. He’d always wanted a whole football team of kids, but he never really expected it. Never expected her.
Just because she wasn’t on the pill didn’t mean she wouldn’t head to the nearest pharmacy for a morning after. He’d gotten the impression that she wanted children someday but he’d never actually heard her voice it.
“Devin, would it be the worst thing to happen if we…” He let his question trail off. He couldn’t finish it. Her rejection wouldn’t be bearable, better to let the question hang in the air, than fall to the ground.
Devin rolled toward him and placed her hand on his cheek. He inhaled deeply and shuddered; it was the same one she’d used to touch herself. She stared straight into the blackness that was his soul.
“No. It wouldn’t be the worst thing.” He could tell she wasn’t exactly hoping for it, but wasn’t opposed.
With those three simple words, the abyss that lived inside him—the hollowness, that bottomless pit created when his own mother abandoned him—suddenly wasn’t as empty.
It was damn near full from just three damn words.
DEVIN
Was she really serious? Did she want a kid, fuck, did he?
Devin had always promised herself that one day she’d have a kid, with or without the relationship. But she’d also practiced safe sex since the pill was out of the question. She subscribed to the let the universe decide theory if there was a condom issue. Kind of like if she got pregnant when both parties did their level best to prevent it, then it was meant to be.
But, if their hotel door fuck resulted in a kid, was it meant to be? Neither had tried to prevent it, they’d just gotten carried away. Shit, they weren’t even in a relationship so to speak.
Was it even close to the right time? In all fairness, letting the universe decide and worrying about timing were mutually exclusive.
So yeah, she was saying if it happened, she would be okay. Scared shitless, but okay.
“Sweetness, you’re so deep in your head you’re giving me a complex.”
Jasper was massaging her breasts and kissing her neck hoping for round two no doubt, but she hadn’t responded.
She did remember what they were discussing.
