Jack ignored my defense of women. He filled the door frame, leaning against the side, watching me. “How do you know this guy’s gay?”

“Because we already fucked.”

“Was that part of the interview process?”

I threw him a smirk and shoved some stuff in the gym bag I had finally found.

“He may have hired Jayden last week, and then met Gareth yesterday.”

Jack’s jaw dropped. “I’m gonna need more details.”

“Oh, look at the time. Can’t be late for my first day.” I squeezed my way past him and headed out the door.

“I can wait!” he yelled after me.

“Gareth!” Trey greeted me at the door. “Gareth’s here, Dad!”

“I see that, kiddo.” He walked up, barefoot, in well-worn jeans and shirtless. I swear my heart almost stopped.

“Put a shirt on, Dad. It’s embarrassing.”

“Fine with me. Be comfortable,” I said, pretending to be completely cool with it.

“Don’t tell him that. He’ll take his pants off next.”

I willed myself not to think about his dick. It didn’t work.

That’s when they both seemed to notice I was wet.

“You’re soaked,” Eli said.

“Dad, get him a towel.”

“Sorry, I didn’t realize it was raining this bad when I left and the driver dropped me off two houses down before I realized it was the wrong house,” I explained.

Trey asked if I had a car.

“Yeah, I do, but I got a good parking spot yesterday and didn’t want to give it up.”

“Oh.”

I’m not sure he understood.

“That means he parked on the street, Trey. He probably lives in an apartment. It’s harder to find parking in some parts of the city.”

Eli handed me a towel and I dried my hair, but I could already feel the shivers coming.

“Mind if I use the bathroom? I brought a change of clothes.” I held my bag up.

“Yeah, that’s no problem,” Eli answered, but just stood there.

As did I.

“Aren’t you going to show him the bathroom, Dad?”

“Oh yeah, that’s right. This way. I can give you a tour after, and then I’m sure Trey has his plans.”
