Knock knock kno-

“We’re done,” Luke said, opening the door. Everyone was staring.

Ty teased him. “That was pretty fast, bro. You need some more time?”

I shoved at him and flipped him off.

“Damn, Cam, Noah was right. That shirt is tight as hell. I can see your abs.”

I hadn’t noticed, but looked down. Fuck. Orion’s observation was correct. The shorts didn’t hide much of my dick, either. Wonderful.

I grabbed the paper and pen from the bed.

Can we go?

Apparently, the press had caught wind of the location of the injured athletes, so security had to escort us out of the building. There were a lot of photographers and people yelling questions, but we just kept walking. I assumed someone else would make a statement.

We boarded two pre-arranged taxi vans and headed back towards the hotel. Mom’s hotel was a few blocks away from the one we’d be in now, so that was conveniently lucky. Shane and Noah were in our hotel as well, but they had a regular-sized room as opposed to a suite. They wanted a bit more privacy than a suite would allow. I hoped that wouldn’t be a problem for me and Luke.

Once we arrived at the hotel, Ty stayed in one van to go with Alex, Orion, and Colton to help get their stuff from the dorm. Colton had already offered to grab mine. The doctor suggested I rest for today and see how I felt in the morning.

For me, it didn’t matter how I felt in the morning. I was going to the gym and nothing would stop me.

The rest of us walked my mom to the hotel. She made me promise I would text her any and all updates. I wrote on the pad that I would, and reminded her that Colton was getting my phone, so we’d have to see if it still worked.

“I have Noah’s number, so I’ll be calling him if you don’t text me tonight,” she warned.

“We’ll figure it all out,” Noah reassured her.

Finally, we were off to our hotel. Noah, Shane and Coach went to handle the business at the front desk and I collapsed on a loveseat with Luke at my side.

So, we’re boyfriends?

I looked up at Cam and said, “I hope so. Is that what you want?”

When he nodded, I smiled. Gracias a Dios. I would’ve leaned in for a kiss, but the lobby was too busy. “Good,” I said. “I missed having a boyfriend.”

Single this whole time?

“Yeah, I...uh...wasn’t in a great place mentally, and my parents wouldn’t have allowed it. I never stopped thinking about you though.” I was afraid to ask, but I did anyway. “How about you?” He hesitated, and I became worried about his answer.

I didn’t date anyone.

Whew. That was a relief.

But

Fuck.

This is awkward to write out.

“It’s okay, Cam.” I put my hand on his back, trying to reassure him. “We weren’t together, and it’s not like I left things on the best terms. It’s unreasonable for me to expect you were celibate the last four years. I’m not saying I won’t be jealous, but I can’t really be mad.” My hands got clammy, and I grew anxious while he was writing, though I didn’t hover.

Colton and I fooled around when we first met. He denies he had a crush on me, but one jack-off session told me otherwise. It was just the one time. It felt weird for me, so I stopped anything else from happening, and he respected that. Just friends since then.
