“You are such a stubborn witch.”
“Yes, and now I’m going to take you back to bed and make you rest. Maybe feed one more time. Your body is using up all that blood healing you.” He slid his arms under my legs and lifted me up, carrying me back to the bedroom.
Despite my protests, he tucked me in.
“The sun is rising. I’m going to go reset the festival stuff, but then I’ll come back and sleep with you,” he said.
“Sleep with me?”
“Sleep. And then if you’re better tonight, we can see about the rest.” Rowen arched one eyebrow, and I fought the urge to argue with him. He was hot when he was mad, but now wasn’t the time.
Fighting back a yawn, I crossed my arms. “Fine.”
“Good girl,” he murmured, bending to kiss my forehead.
I couldn't pretend to be mad. He was too good to me. Stretching out, I nestled into my pillow and let myself drift. Rowen closed the door softly, but not before Ralph scurried in and curled up on the bed beside my calves. Smiling, I squeezed my eyes shut.

Family Official
Rowen
The Pumpkin Festival was in full swing. Pumpkin loaves, croissants, and pumpkin cinnamon rolls disappeared off our tables in record time. Bastion charmed the customers, taking money and handing out baked goods like a pro.
“Thanks, man. I don’t know what I’d do without you,” I said, clapping him on the shoulder.
“No, thank you. This is so much better than my last job, and you pay really well.” He grinned at me for a split second before turning his attention back to our next patron.
“I’m going to head up and check on Sadie. Will you be fine on your own?” I asked.
“We already discussed this. I’m fine. The rush is over. Go get your girl and enjoy the festival for a while. I’ll see you when it’s time to pack up.”
Crossing my arms, I surveyed the tent. He was right. Everything would be fine, and I couldn’t wait to see Sadie. She’d been dead asleep when I returned, her skin healing before my eyes. I’d muttered a few more healing incantations and left her to rest.
Now, I jogged up the stairs to check on her. The door creaked as I opened it, and Sadie’s lashes fluttered. Rolling over, she blinked at me.
“What time is it? I thought you’d come sleep with me.”
“I did, darling. But you needed rest, and you didn’t wake up when I had to go set up for the festival.”
She pushed herself up, scooting back to sit against the headboard. “Wow. I guess I needed it. Normally, I’m a light sleeper.”
“How about you get ready, feed real quick, and then we can go get some dinner from the festival?”
Her eyes narrowed, moving from me to the pile of her freshly washed clothes folded on top of my dresser. “I need a shower. And I believe we had other plans, just the two of us, here in your bed.”
Chuckling, I ran my hands through my hair. “I could use a shower too. Want to save water?”
That cheered her up. Beaming, Sadie climbed out of bed and tugged my loose t-shirt over her head. A wave of desire hit me squarely in the chest at seeing her gorgeous breasts.
The skin of her chest and arms looked fully healed. She moved fluidly, like she was no longer in pain.
“Are you feeling okay?”
“Totally normal, but I am a little hungry,” she admitted, stepping out of her panties before sauntering past me naked.
I nearly tripped over my own feet as I spun to follow her, yanking my shirt over my head and stripping off my pants. Glancing over her shoulder, she gave me a salacious wink.
