“Oh, baby, if you let me, I will make it so good for you.” He ran his finger along my thigh before gripping my dripping wet sex. I gasped at the sensation. Nathan smiled and then kissed me again. “I guess waiting is a form of foreplay.”
“A terrible one.”
An evil smile crossed his face. “I will be thinking about how wet you are all night.”
I met his smile with one of my own. “I’ll do you one better.” I reached down and slowly peeled my lace thong off, pulling the hem of my disheveled skirt back into place as I did. I took his hand and placed the underwear in it.
Nathan licked his lips and smiled. “You’re full of surprises.” He put the panties in his pocket.
“We better get back out there.” I pointed to the box of champagne. “You still good to carry that?”
Nathan cleared his throat. “You go out first. I need a minute.”
I wet my lips and turned to open the door, but Nathan caught my wrist, spinning me back to face him. He gave me one last, long kiss before letting me go.
“I’d go to the ladies' room and straighten up.”
I nodded.
When I got to the washroom, I was grateful for his suggestion. My lipstick was smeared, and my hair needed a quick brush. When I finished straightening up, I looked in the mirror. For the first time since my separation, I felt different in a good way.
The opening felt like it lasted years instead of hours. Nathan and I kept our distance, which I appreciated. While I wanted him, I was still unsure how to deal with being in the public eye.
I sent Dori home early, knowing when everything was put away and the lights were out, I wanted all of Nathan.
The lights were out.
Nathan walking toward me had always made my heart race, but this time it also made me wet. I could already feel his hands on me- his lips and tongue.
“A success!” Nathan pumped a fist in the air.
I giggled.
Nathan wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled my body flush to his. He smelt of champagne and cologne.
“Hi,” I whispered.
“I missed you.” He kissed me.
My whole body relaxed under his kiss. When was the last time I enjoyed kissing so much?
Nathan hummed as he pressed his forehead to mine. “My car’s out front.”
“Oh, yeah?”
“I know you live close, but I’d feel better taking you home.”
Disappointment washed over me. Take me home? He’d just kissed me like he wanted me, and I felt very confused.
“You’re not taking me uptown?”
Nathan’s face grew serious. He ran this thumb along my jaw, settling his hand on my cheek. “I’ve had all night to think about this. You’ve made it very clear you don’t want me to treat you like the other women, and if I took you back to my apartment, I’d be doing just that.”
His intentions were sweet but still disappointing. “You want to wine and dine me, huh?”
He chuckled. “Something like that. At least buy you dinner first.”
I pressed my lips together and looked at Nathan coyly.
