“If she wants to come home with me.”
CHAPTER 10
NOAH
When she opened that door, I nearly fell to my knees. My little rabbit was beautiful when I saw her this morning, but nothing could have prepared me for the Goddess who answered that door.
Those green eyes roamed over every inch of me just as much as my dark soulless eyes devoured her. She’s perfect.
“Are you ready to go?” I ask as I hold my hand out for her.
“Uh, yeah.”
When she places her hand in mine, sparks spread across my palm and up my arm. They tingle as they race through my body, igniting every nerve that’s long been dormant since she disappeared from my life. I finally feel alive again.
“Just remember, she has her location shared, and I know what you look like, Noah Anderson,” her friend, Jenna, shouts as we head down the walkway to my car.
I’m glad she has a friend looking out for her. It’s good to know my little rabbit’s protected, even if I’m not with her. Soon she’ll be working with me and hopefully we will eventually move in together.
Slow down, Noah. Don’t start planning your wedding just yet.
Oh, who am I kidding? I’ve had the whole fucking wedding planned since I was a kid. I’ve always known that Willow was my future. The only woman that I was meant to end up with. The universe would bring us back together because she’s the other half of my soul. She’s my everything.
“Sorry about Jenna. She can be overprotective sometimes. She’s a bit obsessive.”
Obsessive? Oh, Little Rabbit, you don’t know the meaning of the word.
“She’s just looking out for her best friend. I think it’s a good thing. Plus, she seems sweet.”
She lets out a scoffed laugh that she tries to cover up with a cough.
“What?” I ask.
“Jenna would rip your tongue out for calling her sweet,” she laughs.
“Noted. Do not call Jenna sweet. I like my tongue attached and am quite skilled with it,” I tease, and I notice the blush tinting her skin.
As I open the door for her, I can’t help but smile as her eyes go wide when she looks at the car. One of the coolest features is that the doors aren’t like those on your standard car. No, my MC20 has butterfly doors. They swing up instead of out. Kinda like the Red Mist Mustang from Kick-Ass. Great fucking movie.
“This car is insane,” she says as she slides into the passenger seat.
“Thank you.” I close her door slowly before walking to the driver’s side and sliding behind the wheel. “I saved for a few years to be able to get it,” I tell her as I buckle my seatbelt.
She looks at me, slightly confused.
“What?” I ask as I start the car. The engine hums to life, causing her to pause.
“Nothing.”
She quickly shifts her attention out the window. I take her left hand and gently run my thumb over her knuckles. I can feel her body tense as her focus whips back to where I’m holding her hand.
“Tell me what’s on your mind, Willow.”
“It’s just…Okay, please don’t take this the wrong way, but I figured since you’re a lawyer and your family…”
She stops and bites her lower lip. Fuck. I want to bite that lip. I want to bite it and swallow her moans…her pain and her pleasure.
“Continue,” I tell her, keeping my voice low but commanding.
