This Private Marital Agreement (“Agreement”) is made and entered into as of January 15, 2026, by and between Derek Bates (“Husband”) and Ayla Barron (“Wife”).

RECITALS: The parties wish to enter into a loving, mutually supportive, and respectful marriage, valuing trust, kindness, and each other’s well-being.

Both parties agree to make reasonable efforts to foster harmony, including open communication, emotional support, and a commitment to resolving disagreements with patience and respect.

The Husband and Wife intend to maintain a stable, nurturing home and encourage each other’s personal and professional growth, including continued education, employment, and hobbies—so long as these pursuits support the goals of the marriage.

The Wife may maintain existing friendships and family relationships, and the Husband will support her social connections, provided they do not disrupt the harmony of the marriage.

The parties agree to make time for joint recreation, companionship, and shared family traditions, such as meals, travel, and annual celebrations, recognizing the importance of mutual respect and quality time together.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Authority & Obedience: The Wife acknowledges and accepts the Husband’s exclusive authority over all aspects of her conduct, health, and well-being. The Wife shall comply fully and promptly with all instructions and requests from the Husband, whether in private or in public, without protest.

Access & Intimacy: The Wife consents to the Husband's unrestricted access to her person for any physical, emotional, or intimate purpose at any time, without prior notice or consent. The Husband reserves the right to permit or require participation in such acts with other parties at his discretion.

Surveillance & Privacy: The Wife consents to continuous surveillance and monitoring of all properties owned or frequented by the Husband, including the use of cameras, audio devices, and tracking devices. Any tampering with or disabling of surveillance measures constitutes a breach of contract.

Reproduction & Medical Decisions: The Wife agrees to bear a child for the Husband according to a timeline determined solely by him. The Wife shall not use birth control, seek reproductive or medical care, or undergo any procedure without the Husband’s written consent. All such decisions rest solely with the Husband.

Financial Surrender: All income, assets, gifts, or inheritances acquired by the Wife, whether prior to or during the marriage, shall be managed and controlled exclusively by the Husband. The Wife shall have no independent financial authority and will receive provisions at the Husband’s discretion.

Social Conduct: The Wife shall not initiate or maintain contact with any individual not expressly approved by the Husband. All communications, written or verbal, may be monitored or restricted by the Husband at any time.

Appearance & Behavior: The Wife shall maintain appearance, attire, grooming, and conduct according to the Husband’s expressed preferences. Any deviation from these standards shall be considered a breach.

Consequences of Breach: Any breach of this Agreement by the Wife shall result in consequences at the Husband’s sole discretion, including but not limited to:

● Immediate physical restraint or confinement using devices, locked rooms, or other means.

● Application of corporal punishment, including but not limited to spanking, whipping, or forced labor.

● Medical or physical intervention, including enforced sedation, isolation, or other corrective measures.

● Forfeiture of all rights to property, assets, or parental authority over any children.

● Public disclosure of private or sensitive information, including images and correspondence.

● Any additional corrective action deemed necessary by the Husband.

Non-Disclosure The Wife shall not disclose, discuss, or reveal the existence or content of this Agreement to any individual, entity, or authority. Any attempt at disclosure shall be considered a material breach.

SUCCESSION OF AUTHORITY If the Husband becomes incapacitated or deceased prior to the provision of a male heir, the Wife agrees that the obligation to produce an heir, and all other authority, shall transfer to Nathan Bates (“the Father of the Husband”), who shall retain the rights and authority described in this Agreement for the sole purpose of ensuring the continuation of the Bates lineage.

I've got to get her out. The contract is burning a hole in my hands—every line of it worse than the last. I text Dean, and this time, Zayn too: Get over here, now. Emergency. They both reply with a thumbs up. Fifteen minutes later, they're at my door, faces tense. Zayn—Zayn Hallow—leans against the doorframe, arms crossed, his eyes flickering with worry and determination. I don't know what I'd do without Dean and Zayn; they're more than friends, they're family. Dean's been my right hand since high school, but Zayn... Zayn's always been the wild card, the brother I never had by blood but love just as fiercely. I trust him with my life, and I know he'd do anything for me—which means for Ayla too.

"Alex, what the hell happened over there?" Dean asks as soon as he steps inside.

I don't answer at first—I just shove the contract at them. They take turns reading, flipping through the pages in heavy silence. The disgust on their faces tells me everything I already know. Dean's jaw clenches. Zayn shakes his head, muttering something under his breath.

"This is... beyond fucked," Dean finally manages. "It's not a marriage contract. It's a prison sentence."
