He cupped my face, rubbing his thumb in soft and slow circles against my cheek. How could any man be so rough on the outside, so damn dangerous he took my breath away, and yet so soft to the point I was lightheaded.

However, I sensed for all his tenderness, Roy wasn’t a patient man. He swept his tongue inside, dominating mine. Not in a forceful way, but a commanding one. He was demanding my body surrender to his. At this point, he didn’t know me well enough to realize I didn’t give in that easily.

I tangled my fingers in his hair, keeping his head in the same position as I devoured his mouth. Or perhaps that’s what he was doing with mine. Either way, all I knew was that the kiss was explosive, the taste of him as stunningly powerful as his scent. The expression he rocked my world was nothing in comparison to this moment.

He was rocking the planet, the frigging galaxy. Every sound he made was guttural. Every growl erupting past our locked lips was savage. Damn it, he was creating a pool of wetness between my legs.

Never breaking the kiss, he struggled to grab the keys I’d forgotten were in my hand. Another command I obeyed. As he fumbled to unlock the door, I wrapped one leg around his massive thigh, squeezing until his hips were driven into mine. My goodness, the man was rock hard, throbbing more intensely than my pulse.

I was close to foaming at the mouth from excitement of seeing him naked. I’d never been the kind of girl to admire a guy’s dick, but I had a strong feeling I’d swoon when confronted with the bad boy.

He grunted in success and as soon as the door was swung open, we tumbled inside. The kiss was broken, our laughter filtering around us. I hung onto his neck for dear life, witnessing his marvelous agility. His arm was around my waist, keeping me in a deep arc, his bend slightly at the waist. Somehow, he managed to kick the door shut, tossing the keys onto the floor as soon as he did.

I threw the bag, wincing when I heard something crack. Probably my phone. Oops.

The only light I’d left on was in the kitchen over the stove. Between that and the shimmer of moonlight cascading in through the open blinds, his silhouette was as tempting as everything else about him.

Roy consumed my mouth once again even when I pushed off him. Our tongues continued colliding as we both struggled in removing our jackets. His arm was caught and he was forced to break the kiss, groaning like a big kid because the thick material had gotten wound around his huge bicep.

“Hold on. I got this,” I told him. His chest heaved and the sight of his jaw clenched so tightly had me laughing as I tried to free him from the tight confines. “The jacket is too small for you.”

He took several gasping breaths, staring down at me as I tugged on the material. If the man became any hotter, he would catch fire. “You mean I’m too big for the damn jacket.”

“Something like that.” The jerk almost pitched me onto the floor. How he managed to get his arm under my butt, lifting and yanking me against him I’d never know. Now I was the one completely out of breath.

“I got you, Clementine. I’ll never let you fall.” Somehow, I knew he wasn’t lying. His voice had dipped low, his silly but rough actions from before taking a momentary break. This man was a gentle giant.

However, as soon as I laughed nervously, he yanked me to a standing position. Why was it the moonlight was able to reflect off his gorgeous eyes? They were mesmerizing, the irises almost as if glittering with gold.

The moment of longing when neither one of us moved lasted for about fifteen seconds before we were actively trying to tear each other’s clothes off once again.

Suddenly, we were nothing but animals in heat, spinning around in circles. The kisses became rougher, the sounds coming from both our throats nothing but pure savagery. We bumped into the door. Then the wall.

Breaking apart briefly, we both took gasping breaths while I grabbed two handfuls of his shirt.

In response he cupped both sides of my face, dragging me onto my toes before engulfing my mouth all over again.

A single sweep of his tongue and I jammed my palms into his chest, shoving him away. He teetered on one foot, slamming into the back of the couch where he didn’t stay for long. Lunging forward, he caught me off guard with his swift actions, which in turn knocked us toward a group of boxes being used as an end table.

With a lamp on top that decided to rocket launch itself into the air. We both tried to catch it, but the ceramic piece had a life of its own, crashing down on the floor, which had yet to be covered with a rug.

The smash and shatter noise was horrific, but instead of horror, we both turned our heads toward the other, bursting into laughter.

Before another rough kiss, his tongue dominating mine.

I yanked his shirt, causing a seam to rip I was so aggressive. We both laughed, but he wasn’t to be outdone, jerking my shirt up and over my head. He had such a dramatic flair about him, twisting the shirt over my head as if in a strip show. I could easily envision him on the ice, his footwork artistic.

From there, everything became one big blur of limbs tangling together, crushed kisses while fumbling to unfasten clothes. His belt was the worst, my fingers numb by the time I managed to pull the thick leather strap through the loops on his jeans.

Tight jeans, I might add.

At least tight enough to see every perfect inch that God had given him. His lips were soft and I couldn’t help myself, biting down on the lower, fuller one until I was rewarded with a single, precious drop of blood. Maybe I was the beast instead.

He stumbled backward, half laughing and half growling as he dragged his tongue across the spot. “You like it rough.”

I wasn’t being very ladylike when I rubbed my forearm across my mouth. “Maybe I do.”

With his smile widening, he took another step away and jerked off a boot. Was he fearful I’d bite him somewhere else? Wasn’t that what happened with wolves when they mated? They bit each other?
