This war is far from over.
Caleb pulls me closer as the helicopter carries us away.
His mouth is near my ear.
“We made it.”
I look down at the Chairman’s journal against my chest.
“No.”
I turn toward him.
“We found the people responsible.”
His eyes meet mine.
“Now we make them answer.”
Below us, the mountain disappears inside a cloud of dust.
Inside Cobra’s evidence case is a list of names powerful enough to ignite the next war.
And for the first time, Shadow Division knows exactly who it is fighting.

CALEB
The helicopter banks away from the mountain.
No one speaks.
The rotors thunder overhead, but they can’t drown out the sound of stone collapsing behind us.
I look through the open side door.
The mountain disappears beneath a boiling cloud of dust. The summit folds inward, swallowing the bunker, the command center, and every corridor we fought through.
Nature buries what evil built.
Across from me, Cobra finally breaks the silence.
“Well.”
Falcon looks at him. “That’s all you’ve got?”
“I had a longer speech.”
“What happened to it?”
“The mountain interrupted.”
A tired laugh moves through the cabin.
Even Shark smiles.
It isn’t much.
