Absolute fear and dread flooded my veins as I shot inside the small dressing room. “Indi!” My heart raced uncontrollably as I scanned the room, noticing the mess. “Indi!” I shouted a second time. The room was completely torn apart, and there was no sign of her. “Indi!” I shouted again, kicking an overturned chair aside. My anger quickly grew, burning within my body as I tore the room apart, looking for any sign of my twin. But she was nowhere to be found.

“Fuck!” I slammed my fist into the vanity mirror, shattering it. I gripped the edge of the vanity, panting as I tried to focus, raging with absolute anger. “Where are you?” I hissed. Just then, something caught my eye.

No.

I reached down and picked up the Taurus pendant I had given her, the one with a tracker inside. Only it was covered in blood. And in that very moment, all sanity and reason officially left my body.

Indi.

My face burned as sweat dripped down my face. I slowly raised my eyes to look into a broken piece of glass in the mirror, staring back at my darkened reflection, completely enraged.

There was only ever one rule…one rule that kept me in line my whole life.

I took the brown-colored contacts from my eyes and glared back at my green irises. I calmly stood, gripping Indi’s necklace in my hand, and turned towards the door.

But you broke it. You fucking broke it!

I briskly made my way to the back of the club, kicking the door open as I stepped outside into the cold night. It had begun to rain, and I stared up into the stormy night sky, letting the cold drops roll down my body. “Say your prayers, Kief.” I dropped my head and stared ahead into the darkness, feeling the monster I had kept buried inside for so long finally step into my shoes. “Because I’m fucking coming for you.”

And this time, I won’t let you walk away. You’re mine, Kief.

I kicked the front door of Felix’s home open, nearly sprinting inside, soaking wet. Felix and Spider were standing around the end of the dining room table, discussing something on my brother’s laptop. They both spun around, shocked at the sight of me. “Where is she?” I shouted, aiming for them.

Felix’s brows scrunched as he watched me. “Where is who?”

I quickly pulled the KA-BAR from its sheath and aimed, throwing it straight towards them both. The two of them dodged it, gasping as my knife landed dead center of Felix’s laptop, cracking the screen. “Where is she!” I shouted as I charged at Spider, gripping him by his throat before slamming my fists into his face. He fell to the floor, and I quickly stood over him, reeling my arm back again.

“Damn, bro…you sure pack a hell of a punch.” Spider taunted me, but I wasn’t in the mood for him or anyone else. I swung my arm a second time, slamming my bloodied fist straight into his smug face again and again, groaning as I shook with absolute anger.

“Haze!” I snapped my head back at my brother. “Easy, hermano. Just…take a breath and tell us what the hell is going on?”

And for the first time in my life, my older brother didn’t look so scary. He looked fucking weak.

I tilted my head and released Spider, rising to my feet. “Take a breath?” I scoffed and ripped the KA-BAR from his monitor. Sparks sputtered from the ruined laptop, and I walked towards him, raising the blade. “She wouldn’t even be in this situation if you didn’t fucking force her!”

“Hermano! Who?”

His ignorance sent me over the edge, and I charged him, swinging the blade. He tried to knock it from my arm, but I used my strength to my advantage and slammed his body fiercely into the wall. Felix instinctively went into combat mode, dodging the KA-BAR. I sliced the skin of his cheek before he finally knocked it from my grasp. “This is all your fucking fault!”I shouted, hitting him with my fist. Felix deflected a few of my punches and tried to get the upper hand, but I was too erratic. Too enraged. Even with all his military training, he still couldn’t prepare for this side of me. No one could.

I finally landed my fist along his jaw, throwing him off balance as I kneed him in the gut, knocking him to the floor. He groaned, spitting a mixture of spit and blood onto the floor. “Haze—”

I knelt over and gripped a fistful of his black hair, forcing his face up to me. “She’s gone,” I growled before slamming him down to the ground. He groaned, still weak from his last encounter with Kief. “They fucking took her.” I stepped over his body, keeping him tightly restrained between my legs as I reached out and began to choke him, seeing nothing but red. “They fucking took her!” I squeezed my hands tighter around his thick neck, watching as his eyes began to bulge. His face began to turn a deep shade of red.

“Who—”

I glared down, feeling no shred of guilt or loyalty as I fully intended to kill him for putting my twin in danger…the one thing I loved most in this fucked up world. “Indi,” I growled, feeling tears form in my eyes.

His eyes widened as he realized what was happening. “Haze…please.” He smacked my arms, but it was useless. I ignored his pleas, refusing to let go. And I would've killed him right then and there, had the soft click of a gun not caught my focus.

I slowly raised my eyes to see Dream standing a few feet away, holding her metallic pink handgun. “Let him go.”

I sucked my teeth and glared at her, the sound of Felix’s gasping breaths filling the silence between us. I half expected her to be nervous, but there was nothing behind those damn hazel eyes. No fear or worry. Not even a shred of care. Just absolute emptiness. And then I realized exactly what kind of a person she was.

I grinned, reluctantly released Felix. “Fine.”

Felix coughed and gasped, gagging on the air. But I didn't move. I just stared at his woman, daring her to pull the trigger.

Dream didn’t budge or show any kind of expression. She just stood there, keeping her sight locked on me, the barrel aimed directly at my forehead. “Step away. Now.”
