“I’m just surprised,” I replied, and Jensen rolled his eyes.
“Keep it to yourself then.”
My hope for her pussy vanished as the guys started telling her all about it, a twinge starting in my chest. I’d been waiting for this for what felt like forever, but now I was sitting off to the side, watching the others catch up like I wasn’t even here.
I told myself I was being stupid, of course Lukas wanted to talk to her about something as serious as taking that step with Jensen, but the longer I watched, the more I convinced myself that they’d feel better if I wasn’t here.
“I’m going to go and smoke while you guys talk,” I said as I forced a grin. “I don’t need to know how good Luke is in bed.”
The guys gave me a flat look, but Rory frowned. “You sure?”
“Absolutely. If I keep hearing how good it is, I’ll want to try. That would make things weird,” I chuckled, leaning forward to kiss her cheek. “I’ll be back soon.”
She let me wander off, and the feeling in my chest only grew stronger once I was outside alone. The cigarette didn’t help either, so I lit another one as I sat on the sun tanning chair and leaned back with a sigh.
I was being stupid, but it was hard not to be. I’d known I’d have to share her tonight, but part of me wished I could have her to myself. It was so fucking selfish.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the rest of my cigarette, not realizing how long I’d been outside until scuffling sounded close by, my eyes flicking open to find Rory standing beside me.
“You want to tell me what’s wrong now we’re alone?” she asked lightly, telling me I hadn’t hidden my feelings enough.
“I’m just smoking,” I replied with a smile, but she rolled her eyes and moved to straddle my lap, sliding her arms around my shoulders.
“I wasn’t gone so long that I stopped being able to read you. Talk to me, even if you think it’s silly. I promise, it’s not.”
“It is silly. I feel like I’m third wheeling. You guys got talking and it was like I wasn’t there. I know that’s not the case, I’ve just been looking forward to having you here again and kind of imagined it being different,” I admitted, her hand lifting to run her fingers through my hair.
I needed a haircut, it was too long to spike up now, but she seemed to like it.
“That’s not silly.”
“I can’t keep you to myself tonight like I want to.”
“You have me to yourself right now. I told the guys to give us thirty minutes alone,” she murmured, leaning forward to nuzzle into my neck as I flicked the cigarette aside to hold her properly. “I really missed this.”
“I missed it too, baby,” I mumbled, holding her a little tighter as we got comfortable.
All the tension melted away as we just sat there, and a shudder rolled through me as her lips pressed against my throat, leaving scattered kisses there.
We couldn’t fuck out here, Josie was home, but just having Rory touching me was enough. I might have visited her a lot in the couple of months she was gone, but it wasn’t the same as holding her like this.
My hand slipped up the back of her shirt, and when she looked up at me, I dropped my mouth to hers for a kiss, taking advantage of the fact no guard was here to yell at us.
I kissed her harder, pouring all my feelings into it as she ground on my lap, my cock hardening under her hopefully.
That had to wait. Right now, I just wanted to kiss and hold her without restrictions.
“I love you,” she whispered against my lips, the last piece of doubt vanishing. How did she always know what I needed even when I didn’t?
“I love you too,” I replied, burying my face in her neck and just breathing her in now I was focused again. “Let’s go inside. It’s too damn cold out here and you don’t have a jacket on.”
She stood and waited for me to do the same before taking my hand and tugging me towards the house. The guys were now spread out on the bed in her room instead of mine, not seeming fazed that I’d stolen her for myself for a while.
I curled up on the bed with Rory while they started talking about random things, and this time, I just laid there and enjoyed holding her some more.
Rory
It had felt strange to eat dinner at the table with everyone again. I kept realizing I was tense, waiting for someone to walk over and start a fight with me, then I’d remember I was at home and didn’t have to worry about that.
