“I don’t need a handout,” she starts, but Tank cuts her off.
“Not a handout. It’s what his company does. He will work with you on the money thing but get it done for you quickly.”
“Oh. Well, I’m open to hearing him out,” she says.
“We should go,” I tell her. “Tank has somewhere to take me.”
She smiles. “Of course. See you tomorrow.”
As we leave the building, Tank takes my phone to forward Lydia’s number to Crow.
“He’s not going to let her pay, is he?” I ask.
“Nope, and that landlord isn’t going to do shit to her, or he will deal with us.”
I shake my head as I grab my helmet. I let him put it on me, adjusting it for me.
We’ve found a good balance. I command him in the bedroom and sometimes outside when the situation calls for it, while other times, I let him take the lead. Like whenever we are on his bike, he is in control. Or when it is related to the club or my safety, I let him take the lead.
It’s the perfect balance for our relationship.
“Are you going to tell me where we are going?” I ask.
He shakes his head. “It’s a surprise. A good one, though. I promise.”
I press my helmet to his forehead. “Of course it is. It always is good with you.”
He smiles. “It always will be. I love you, Laney.”
He presses a kiss to my helmet. I wish it wasn’t on. I want to feel his lips on me.
“I love you too, Warren.” I blow him a kiss. “Let’s go then. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me.”

I will never get over the feeling of having Delaney on my bike behind me. I never considered my bike sacred like some men. I didn’t mind giving a casual hookup a ride from time to time.
Now I regret it. The only woman who should have been on my bike is Delaney. It’s her place. No one else is worthy.
I smile to myself when I think of how she is going to feel when we get to where we are going. We have been exploring each other more, and I know she has things she wants to tick off her list but is afraid to.
It’s my job as her man to make every single fantasy of hers come true. It’s why we are driving an hour outside of town to a little property in the middle of nowhere. All that exists here is a small little cabin.
As I shut off the bike, I can feel her curiosity from behind me. I help her off before dismounting myself. Once we both have our helmets off, I turn to her and pull her into my arms.
“What is this?” she asks.
“This is our weekend getaway. For the next two days, we check off items on your list. Starting with the big one you’ve wanted to do but are too scared to do.” I pull her back to my front.
“What if someone sees?”
“That’s why we are here. No one can get close without alerting Fox. Fox will then send out an emergency alert to me, which will give me time to get you inside and deal with the threat,” I admit.
“He’s going to be monitoring us all weekend?”
“Not us, the perimeter. So as long as we don’t go near that, no one will see us. He even managed to do some cloaking shit that I didn’t understand so no one could come into the airspace. It’s safe for us to explore as we want.”
She beams up at me. “You really thought of everything.”
