“Slide your hand into your panties and tell me how wet you are.” His hand had slipped into his boxer briefs without him realizing it—his cock already hard and dripping.

“What if I’m not wearing any?” she asked sweetly and he had to grip himself to keep from coming right then and there.

“Fuck, Octavia. What are you wearing?”

“Just a nightshirt.”

He tried and failed to keep from groaning. “Are you wet, Octavia?”

“Yes,” she whispered. She’d never sounded quite like this, like she was playing the submissive he’d never seen come out before. He wanted to see and not just hear her.

“I’m on my knees in front of you. My face buried in that sweet pussy, your fingers digging into my hair.” He heard her whimper and tightened his grip around his cock. “How many fingers do you want, Autumn girl?”

“Two,” came her breathy answer.

“Fuck yeah. You feel so good, dripping for me. I love how fucking wet you get, baby. You ready for something bigger?”

“Mmmhmm.” She moaned.

“Get on your knees and face the back of the chair, Octavia.” He listened as she moved around. Could practically see that perfect ass on display in front of him. “Are you ready?”

“Yes.”

“Now, be a good girl and hold on tight because I’m going to fuck you so hard you’ll lose your goddamn mind.”

Nathan barely registered what he was saying, it was all his imagination pouring out in a stream of consciousness, the sound of Octavia’s moans and whimpers egging him on.

“I’m so close.” She panted.

“Me too, baby. Where do you want me to com—”

“Inside me!” Her voice strained and Nathan swore he could feel her pussy clench around his cock as she came. The phantom feeling triggered his own release, turning him into a gasping mess.

He woke the next morning, his phone next to him on the bed, his chest sticky from the night before, and the thought of being inside Octavia bare still on his mind. After he showered, he found a single text waiting for him.

CHAPTER 9

OCTAVIA

Octavia watched Nathan’s next two games and after both, answered her phone when he called, following all his instructions until she was a sweaty mess in whatever room she had been in when the phone rang.

He now knew her favourite animal and the name of her first pet. At work she was distracted by thoughts of what a normal day with him would look like. At the grocery store she found herself wondering if he followed a certain path each time he shopped, or maybe he had all his groceries delivered because he was famous.

They’d texted a bit yesterday after his morning skate, most of the conversation around his thoughts on A Little Life. She’d been annoyed to learn that his thoughts mirrored her own. That he could carry on an intelligent conversation about a book that didn’t contain pictures. She couldn’t tell herself he was just a meathead jock anymore because he kept showing her he had a brain and could use it. It was a complication she hadn’t anticipated.

He’d even sent a screenshot of his latest tests, the list of negative results practically glowing. Inside me, she could hear herself moan into the phone as she came three nights ago. She’d shocked herself when those two words came out of her mouth. She had never done that with a guy and yet the thought of doing it with Nathan was the thing that didn’t just tip her over the edge, it pushed her, and fuck it if she didn’t want to be pushed again and again.

“Octavia? Earth to Octavia.” Octavia blinked out of the third daydream of the day in time to see one of the partners roll his eyes in her direction.

“Sorry, I haven’t been sleeping,” she apologized, sitting up, straightening the folder in front of her and uncrossing her legs, relieving the pressure that had been building. She’d nearly gotten herself off in a meeting, she needed to focus.

“As I was saying…” Octavia forced herself to stare at her boss even though a lot of what he was saying sounded like he was underwater. “Can you handle that or should we pass it on to one of the associates who is managing to sleep?” Daniel Broadhurst sneered.

“I’ve got it, Daniel,” she replied flatly, managing to keep from looking over at Amanda who sat across the table.
