Booker chuckled against my skin. “Took a little practice to learn to keep my teeth out of the way,” he said. “You wanna pass the lube?”

I scrambled to pass it to him so fast that I practically threw it, hitting him in the shoulder as it flew out of my hands. Booker laughed, nuzzling my stomach and pressing another shower of kisses to it.

It didn’t matter if I was awkward or inexperienced or weird. Booker didn’t care about any of that.

He cared about me.

I watched him crack the seal on the lube with my lower lip between my teeth, all my attention on his hands. He had the most incredible hands and I loved them most when they were touching me, but preparing to touch me was a close second.

“Sure about this?” Booker asked, catching my eye.

“Positive,” I said, holding his gaze, trying to convey how absolutely serious I was about this, about wanting it.

Now that I knew I liked guys, I would have died of curiosity if I didn’t do this once. If not with Booker, I couldn’t imagine when I’d ever do this with anyone else.

“You can ask me to stop anytime,” Booker said. “I’ll stop. I won’t be disappointed.”

“Are you going to be disappointed when I don’t?” I asked, raising an eyebrow. “Staring to worry.”

“All I’ve ever wanted is for you to feel safe with me,” Booker said. “I never want that to stop.”

“I’ve never felt anything but safe with you,” I said gently, reaching out to cover the hand he had resting on my knee with my own. “Safer than I ever have with anyone else. Wait until I break out the list of things I wanna try with you,” I finished with a grin.

“There’s a list?”

“Research.” I shrugged. “I’ve learned a lot. I’ve been keeping notes. If you’re good, I’ll show you.”

“I’m always good,” Booker said.

“I’ll be the judge of that,” I said, breaking into another smile.

I was so glad to be here with him. Nothing else had ever felt so right in my whole life.

Booker laughed, climbing back up the bed and catching my mouth for a kiss. I could taste myself on him, something new that wasn’t just the Booker I was used to. Before I knew it, my hands were in his hair again, holding him in place so I could kiss him more.

“Thought you wanted me to—”

“I do,” I interrupted. “One more kiss first.”

“As many as you want,” Booker murmured, giving me exactly what I’d asked for. And then a second kiss, and a third, and then I lost count again until he started working his way down my neck, my chest, and all the way back to my cock, pressing a kiss to it like he was welcoming it home.

This time he actually opened the lube, so at least we were getting somewhere.

I crooked one knee in invitation, practically vibrating with excitement. I might have been overstating my practical experience earlier, but I knew that didn’t matter. I didn’t have anything to worry about with Booker.

Booker closed his lips around me again as he slid a finger under me, stubble rubbing against the sensitive inside of my thigh. A gasp escaped me at the touch of his finger. He paused until I managed to let go of the breath I hadn’t meant to hold.

I laughed. Everything was okay.

Of course everything was okay. It was Booker.

He cared about me. He always took care of me. He’d take care of me now.

Booker held me down again, keeping my hips still as he alternated between sucking my cock and kissing it as gently as he did my mouth.

By the time he slipped a finger inside me I didn’t even notice it happening.

Not until he grazed a spot that made me see stars, anyway. My back arched, muscles straining against Booker’s hold as pleasure spiked deep inside me, skittering along all my nerve endings.
