“He brought me you.”

“Holliday,” he moans before he glides into me, drawing out the pleasure until he’s to the hilt. “Am I what you wished for this year? Did you ask Santa for me?”

“I did,” I moan as he pulls back then rushes forward. “I wanted you naked under my tree.”

Nick chuckles, running his hand along the ribbon tied around my body. With my legs tightly wrapped, he easily slides in and out, hitting a place deep within me.

“Over a week ago, I had you underneath my tree, but that’s semantics. And over a week is too long, honey.”

In and out he moves, igniting the passion between us higher and higher. My body rocks as best it can to meet his thrusts but staying still almost has its advantages as well. Nick works me until I’m a sappy mess, then I crack and break, crumbling from the intensity. I’m dissolving beneath him, melting like a savory treat on the tongue.

Nick picks up the pace, surging into me. His fingers dig into my hips. Then, he’s lifting me by the ribbons at my wrist. I cry out at the shift, sparked once again by something deep inside me.

“Nick?” The question is a plea. I don’t seem to understand my own body.

His arms wrap around me. His fingers seek my clit. He’s working me like a masterful puppeteer until I’m ready to unravel again.

“Nick!” I’m completely under his control and willingly following his lead.

“You’re such a good girl,” he murmurs behind me, praise fills his tone while salacious and scandalous at the same time. Additional words about taking him deep and him filling me up flitter through my head until I’m blissed out and blustering beneath him again. My body goes stiff before my knees give out.

Nick lowers me back to the bed and thrusts one final time before moaning in relief. “Holliday.”

My name is more than this moment.

As he collapses over me, his breath is heavy at my ear. “Happy, Holliday.” The phrase is more of a question.

“I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time.” Tears prickle behind my eyes. I don’t want this night to end. I don’t want this season to be over. I don’t want him to leave my bed.

“That’s what I asked of Santa. To make you happy, Holliday.”

“Nick,” I whisper as he shifts to my side. “Why?”

“There’s just something magical about you.” He reaches for my hair, sweaty and loose around my face and brushes it behind my ear.

“There’s something special about you, too.” Comfort and joy. Patience and peace.

Nick leans in to kiss me quick before pulling back. “I’m going to unwrap you now.” His eyes twinkle with mischief. The unwrapping of a gift is typically the exciting part but being wrapped up has been amazing.

Nick peppers me with kisses as he releases my ankles first and unwinds the ribbon up my legs. He kisses the backs of my knees and my outer thighs. I hiss as he drags the thin, slinky material across sensitive folds before untying my waist. My wrists are freed, and I roll them as Nick unbinds my lower arms. I slip to my knees at the edge of the bed while he slowly peels the ribbon from around my neck and under my breasts, until all my flesh and parts are unbound. Standing behind me, he tips my head back and cups my jaw.

“How about a bath, honey?”

I nod, unable to speak, and probably unable to move as I’d just had the most incredible moment of my life.

Nick scoops me up and carries me to the tub.

And in the warmth of a bubble bath, I marvel at how it’s turned out to be a wonderful Christmas and a very good night.

Epilogue

The fifth day of Christmas . . .

[Nick]

When Holliday moved in next door, it was like an angel had been sent down from heaven to torture me. That hair. Those curves. Her eyes. I’d caught her a time or two watching me. Not inspecting me. Not questioning who I was or what I’d become, but just looking at me.

My former neighbor, Pete, was a hilarious old guy, and he warned me he’d sold the house to a single mom with two kids. Warning meaning I was to behave myself with my new neighbor. Look out for her, he’d said, but don’t do her. The man was a horndog into his nineties.
