“Is your family going to mostly speak in Spanish?” Austin asked.

“Uh… they usually do. Or like, a mix. Spanglish. But they’ll speak English for you.” Probably.

“Are you nervous?”

“Yeah,” he admitted with an awkward laugh.

“Do you have a story for who I am or how we met?”

“Uh, yeah. Mountain climbing. No, wait.”

God, what was he going to tell people?

“They think I, um, have a girlfriend. Who I went mountain climbing with that weekend. Not that I said I did. I didn’t lie. God, I’m a terrible liar. But I started texting with Jamie, and he always sends me ridiculous stuff so I won’t let anyone see my phone and now they really think I have a girlfriend. So, uh… I guess I shouldn’t say mountain climbing?”

Austin’s steady hand came down on his knee, past the bouquet sitting between them. “You can tell them anything you want. I can’t think of too many other ways we would have met, so we’ll just say that we went on a big climb that weekend with a small group. We had lots of time to chat so I wanted to support you at your show. Does that sound good?”

“Yeah.” He let out a breath. Everything sounded good with Austin’s hand squeezing his leg. The small touch made his whole body warm, suffused with that confident Daddy energy..

“You don’t have to come out until you’re ready. I’ll just follow your lead.”

“You don’t like crowds though, right?”

Austin shrugged, the movement communicated through his arm. “Can’t say that I do. But I’ll manage for a few hours. These people are important to you. And it’s your big night. You’re the star of the show!”

Mateo found himself grinning. He liked that Austin understood how important his family was. “We won’t have to stay too long. Or you can just go upstairs if it gets to be too much. Even I do that sometimes. They’ll understand if we leave early.”

“I might take you up on that. But I think we should clarify one more thing. You invited me to stay the night. Because it’s a long drive back.” Austin’s voice held gentle humor. “Was that an invitation for more?”

“Yes?” His voice came out thin and breathy.

“Excellent. That’s what I was hoping for.”

He was? Oh, God. Mateo’s cock swelled. Driving safely through the next intersection suddenly took all of his remaining brain power.

“In that case, I’d like to propose that when you go upstairs to put your flowers away, that you come back down wearing something that I got for you under your jeans. No one has to know.”

Mateo was about to combust. Just explode in a shower of humiliation and arousal. And probably crash the truck. “Um… I already am.”

Austin chuckled warmly, his hand tracing up Mateo’s leg and across his hip. “Dirty boy,” he cooed. He tugged at Mateo’s shirt until the edge came untucked, then slid two fingers in until they met skin. “Have you been wearing them a lot?”

“No? Just today, I mean…”

Austin’s fingers were burrowing into the side of his jeans, tight from his chubby belly that he didn’t necessarily want Austin to feel but… Oh, fuck. Austin was touching him.

Touching the criss-crossed straps of the panties that he’d bought.

“So you saved them for me. Good boy…” Austin was practically purring.

“Yeah.”

“Are you going to put on a show for me tonight?”

Mateo nodded, mouth dry.

How the hell was he going to get through dinner with his family?

“Well, boy?” Austin prompted, in that harsh tone that went straight to his cock.
