“And that’s bad?”
Isaac turned to face him, short-trimmed hair fanning out from his face in a halo. “That’s not the plan.”
Remi was intrigued. “What is the plan, then?”
“Finish grad school. Finish–” he made a vague gesture toward his knees or perhaps wherever he thought Boston was “–some other things. Then find a Daddy.”
“Why can’t you have a Daddy now?”
“Too busy. Too stressed.”
Remi let a bit of his inner Dom slip into his voice. “That sounds like you need a Daddy now more than ever. Daddies don’t let their boys get stressed like that.”
The shiver that made its way down Isaac’s body was its own reward.
“Maybe,” Isaac groused. “I have playdates sometimes. With a friend and her Daddy.”
That was good. At least he had someone.
But Remi didn’t like the idea of Isaac being stressed. He’d already seen Isaac’s bright smile and bubbling energy when he was calling his friend. Remi wanted to see him that way again.
“What about this weekend?” he asked, circling closer to the question he really wanted to ask. He’d already given up on finding a lasting relationship here. But it had been far too long since he’d had a bubbly boy in his lap, and everything about Isaac did it for him. “Why did you come if you’re not looking for a Daddy?”
Isaac rolled his eyes. “Because I wanted Tommy to find a Daddy. I was going to help him. And then, if it didn’t work, we were going to have pajama parties instead.”
“Tommy’s lucky to have such a good friend,” Remi praised him. “But what about you? Wouldn’t you like to have a Daddy to play with and watch over you? At least while you’re here?”
Isaac scowled, then his eyes popped open in surprise. “Who? You?”
“Is that so hard to believe?” Remi teased. “After all. I am sexy ev-ry-where.”
Isaac covered his face with his hands. “I can’t believe I said that.” Then he peeked out, with what had to be the cutest gesture since the beginning of time. “Can we just forget I said that?”
“Nope,” Remi grinned. “I’m never forgetting that one. But as for my offer, I won’t pressure you. I know that you’re only in Oregon for a visit, so it can’t go anywhere. But if you’d like to be my boy for the weekend, I can’t think of a better way to spend it.”
Isaac looked him over skeptically. “Why me?” But before Remi could answer, he kept going. “Sorry, dumb question. I guess if you’re into littles, there’s only one left.” His head flopped back on the table. “So, um, that’s very kind of you to offer.” That sounded like a no.
“Isaac?” Remi asked softly, enjoying the shape of the word in his mouth. “Will you look at me, baby?”
Bright eyes looked up at him in… hope?
“There’s some truth in what you say. One day, I want to find a sweet little boy who loves me as much as I love him, and wants to live with me in Portland. But since that’s not going to happen this weekend, I don’t have to fight my Daddy instincts about a certain cute boy who I found moping at a picnic table. That leaves me free to do what I want.”
“What’s that?”
“Well, the first part is asking if I can be his Daddy for the weekend. No strings attached, since I know he’s going back to Boston and having a long-term Daddy isn’t part of his plan. The second part is helping that baby boy relax and trying to fulfill every one of his fantasies... But, that part depends on the first part.”
“So, um, just for the weekend?” The boy twisted his hands but that was his only sign of nervousness. “I would… be your boy?”
“Just for the weekend. You would be my sexy boy and my adorable little, as much as you want of either one.”
One of Isaac’s hands tugged at each finger of the other hand in order. It seemed like he was always in motion. “Can I think about it?”
“Of course. We can get to know each other a bit, too.”
Isaac nodded slowly, looking a little shy for the first time since they’d met. “I’d like that.”
“Being my boy? Or getting to know me?”
