He knew that Izzy wasn’t truly his. But damn.
Right now, it sure felt like it.

Isaac
Isaac slid into the chair that Remi was holding out for him and waited to be pushed into the table.
“Thank you, Daddy,” he whispered. They were having dinner at a restaurant and he wasn’t in little space right now, but Remi was still being such a Daddy that he wanted to say it.
In fact, he just wanted to roll around in all of the Daddiness this weekend, like he could wrap himself up in it like a blanket and take it back home with him.
“You’re welcome, baby.” Remi seated himself across the table. “I think this place looks good.”
“Me, too.” They’d ended up at a fifties-style diner a bit down the road. Everything was red checkered tablecloths, chrome, and kitschy records on the walls, so it had a fun vibe. Jamie, one of the lodge owners, had suggested it, and from the smell it lived up to the hype.
It wasn’t the type of place where people pushed in someone’s chair for them, but that made it kind of fun, too. Remi clearly didn’t care too much what anyone thought, and that meant Isaac didn’t have to either.
Remi had asked for a quiet table at the back, though, but Isaac suspected that was because he wanted to talk about topics that would be best not overheard.
“Do you know what you want to order yet?” Remi flipped his laminated menu over to the back.
“I haven’t even had time to look. Ummmm… probably a burger and fries, though.”
“Sounds good. They have chicken fingers, too. Or grilled cheese.”
“Ooohhh….” That sounded good, but maybe not for right now. “I think that won’t help me stay big.” His little was always lurking around somewhere, and right now he was dangerously close to the surface.
Remi chuckled. “Maybe we can come back tomorrow and pick up some lunch for my baby boy to enjoy at the lodge.”
Isaac looked at him dreamily. “More little time? Why are you so perfect?”
“You know? I was just thinking the same thing. I didn’t want to pull you out of little space earlier, but I think we should check in. After that, you can be little until Monday afternoon if you want to.”
“I don’t know if I want to be little every second but… It really is nice. This is the longest I’ve been able to relax like this in a long time.”
“I’m so happy to give you that. Ready to give me your report?”
Isaac grinned. That’s what they’d agreed on, that he would give Remi a report of how things were going once they got to the restaurant. It wouldn’t be difficult, since everything had been perfect. He told Remi as much, which provoked a laugh.
“Alright, baby boy. I’m glad to hear it, but Daddy needs more details. What did you like?”
“I liked lunch.” Daddy had picked up mac and cheese with some steamed vegetables for him from another restaurant, then they’d eaten on the back porch.
“Me, too. Tell me more. Was it OK being little with other people around?”
Isaac took a quick look around. No other diners or waitstaff in sight. He wasn’t shy, exactly, but not everyone needed to hear their conversation. “Yep. I was fine with it. I mean, I wouldn’t have been with a different group, but since everyone was kinky and they didn’t mind, I felt comfortable, too.”
“Good. I wouldn’t have encouraged you if I thought you wouldn’t be safe and respected. And I thought it was nice to just be able to eat a normal lunch on a beautiful day with my baby boy. Did you know that Sebastian brought you that juice cup with the straw and lid before I even asked?”
“No. That was really nice of him. He thought my noodles were weird, though.”
Remi’s eyes sparkled. “Your noodles were weird.”
Isaac stuck out his tongue. “You made them for me!” When Isaac had announced that his mac and cheese tasted boring, Daddy had squirted the little packets of ketchup and honey mustard on top.
It was surprisingly good, sweet and salty, even if it made some of the noodles turn bright red. The perfect little kid food.
