It wasn’t just that Isaac was so spontaneous and free. It was the way that he kept coming back to Remi to touch him, like he wanted to know he was there. That level of trust and reliance was the most beautiful part of age play to Remi, and finding it so quickly with Isaac was a gift.
The mixer was still going on somewhere off in the background, and a flirty couple started playing pool nearby. Isaac didn’t appear to notice them, so Remi ignored them too. It was nice being in a completely kinky space where no one raised an eyebrow at their behavior. If anything, Remi had gotten a few encouraging nods from other Daddies and fond smiles from other boys.
He did give Isaac a little nudge to look up, though, when he saw Jamie and Sebastian, the lodge owners, walk past with Neil sandwiched between them.
“He got his Daddy!” Isaac whispered excitedly.
“It sure looks that way. And another boy.”
“Mmm-hmmm!” Isaac’s robot started climbing over Remi’s arm.
“Would you want to play with another boy?” he asked curiously.
“I would want to play robots with another boy.” Isaac paused to think about it. “He could share my Daddy for robots. If he didn’t have his own. It’s very sad when boys don’t have their own Daddy.”
Well, that answered a lot of questions all at once. Not that it mattered that Isaac sounded ready for monogamy and commitment when he was leaving on Monday. But it was still nice to hear. “It is very sad,” Remi agreed. “But you have a Daddy now, don’t you?”
“Yeah!” Isaac beamed.
“And Daddy only likes to share for robots, too.” Since apparently robots had become their code-word for non-sexual age play.
“Oh, good.” The t-rex joined the other toy on Remi’s arm. “Robots and dinosaurs.”
“Of course dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are always welcome.” Remi figured they were done with the conversation for now. “Where are your explorers going next?”
“Back to earth. The cowboy needs help.”
“I see.” It appeared that the stuffed horse combined with the muscle-bound action figure in the black cape equated to a cowboy. Isaac scooted across the room with his adventurers.
At a certain point, Remi’s back started to hurt too much for the floor. And fuck did his spine scream when he stood up. He tried to stretch inconspicuously, knowing that Isaac would be watching, then shifted to the couch where the cushions helped a bit.
Isaac, fortunately, didn’t seem to be pulled out of his play. He still came over, brushing against Remi’s knee or foot. Remi just stroked through Isaac’s hair when he was nearby.
The astronauts set off for Alpha Centauri, which Isaac informed him was very close and would only take “an hour” to reach. Naturally, it turned out that the local star was right behind Remi’s shoulder on the couch, so the rocket and each individual astronaut had to ride up his legs and chest to get there.
Isaac ended up in his lap again, rocking the t-rex back and forth on his shoulder.
“Baby boy?” Remi whispered. “I think the astronauts are getting tired. We need to put them to sleep so they can have more fun tomorrow.”
Isaac yawned. “Yeah. Astronauts need lots of sleep.”
“Let’s put them into bed,” Remi urged gently. “I see their beds right over there.”
It was a quick clean-up, though Isaac was clearly dragging. Remi hadn’t realized how tired he would get, but he’d know the signs to look for in the future.
Then he realized what a ridiculous thought that was. There wasn’t any future. Just Saturday and Sunday night, half a day on Monday, and then a goodbye. The thought sent a pang through his chest.
But he would make sure his baby got a nap tomorrow. It was the only thing he could do.
When all of the toys were back in the bins, Isaac pulled out a tiny blanket from the baby bin and laid it over the robot and dino on the top of the basket. He covered his eyes and tried his best to cover both of their eyes, too.
“Cover your eyes, Daddy,” he hissed, like this should have been obvious.
Remi complied, covering Roary’s eyes too, since that seemed to be the game.
Then Isaac sang something that sounded too melodic and rehearsed to be made up, with most of the words held long on the last syllable. Remi decided after the first couple words that it was in another language. A bedtime prayer?
It was over almost as soon as it began, and Isaac removed his hands. “Night, night astronauts.”
