Dustin advanced on him. You have three minutes to eat, and then I’m leaving whether you’re ready or not.
Landon stomped his foot. Because this was exactly what he wanted.
Dustin crowded into his space, yanking back his hair in its loose ponytail and giving him a searing kiss. When he stepped back, they were both breathless.
Two minutes now. Daddy said, then walked out of the room without a backward glance.
Dammit. He was going to have to scarf down the dry, pasty bar with some water if he didn’t want to be late. At least he wouldn’t be running with a hard on. His cock was straining against the metal of his cage. It would be coming off tonight, but right now it made him feel almost dizzy with need and incredibly owned.
But Daddy wouldn’t have it that easy, he thought with a private smirk. Daddy’s shorts might be a bit looser, but they couldn’t hide that.

Landon was buzzing with excitement as he drove to the hardware store. It was the same one where Daddy had bought him his precious terrariums, and the one that Zhong liked to go to for gardening supplies.
So basically it had a lot of good feelings associated with it. Zhong had texted that he’d arrived a few minutes ago, so Landon went straight to the garden center.
Zhong gave him a wide grin when they saw each other. You’re bouncing, Zhong observed.
Landon shrugged. I’m really excited about the garden.
He loved digging his hands into the dirt and watching each plant unfurl. Even more though, he liked the idea of making something at Dustin’s house. This summer was supposed to be a trial run for the two of them, but Landon was already hoping it could be more. Planting a garden meant months of commitment.
Then there was the fact that he’d be hanging out in the garden with Zhong, who loved the experience as much as he did. It was rare for just the two of them to spend time together without at least one of their partners around. Rare, but good.
Also Landon had some ideas. He’d meant to kind of wait to bring it up, but he’d been looking up things online all morning. I was thinking that we could maybe build an obstacle course in the backyard, he blurted out. You know, for Ash.
Zhong looked confused for a moment, then his eyes widened. For puppy Ash, you mean?
Yeah. If that’s not overstepping. Landon hadn’t seen Ash’s puppy, but he would bet they had plenty of energy and would like showing off. He could just imagine the excitement in their eyes when they saw it.
Zhong squeezed his shoulder. Definitely not overstepping. I didn’t even think to ask you about puppy play. But I should have. Do you mind if I ask you questions?
Landon laughed. Well, I’m not a pup. But I’ve hung around the club on mosh nights and even been a volunteer Handler before. It’s not my primary kink, but I’ve been to demonstrations and talked about it with Ash. So… I can answer some general questions for you, probably.
Zhong positively lit up. You are my hero. First, what do we need for an obstacle course? I never thought of an obstacle course. Zhong whipped out his notebook.
It was a good thing Landon had looked this up, because he only remembered a bit from the one Puppy Show he’d been to, and Zhong was ready to write.
Seriously, puppy play is pretty flexible, so you could use almost anything. But if you want a more formal obstacle course, you could set up some cones for Ash to weave around. They could also jump through a hoop or over a low barrier, or crawl through a tunnel. You could maybe hang something from a string for Ash to jump up and grab… I bet there’s a lot of good stuff here if we think creatively. And there’s a department store across the parking lot if we can’t find everything.
Zhong’s eyes gleamed. That sounds amazing. I almost want to forget about the plants and do that instead. Are you sure you’re OK with having all this in the yard? I mean, it’s kind of your yard now.
Landon rolled his eyes. Not to be defiant, but because Zhong was being ridiculous. He needed to convince him that he was fine with sharing. In fact, it was better with sharing. If Zhong was building something there, well… he couldn’t quite explain it, but it felt like there would be more space for Landon to make his own mark, too.
It’s your yard, too. I mean, you have first dibs anyway. Not to mention that I brought it up, right?
Right. So… plants or puppy stuff? Zhong looked like choosing one over the other would physically hurt him.
Ha! Now they were partners in this. God, that’s a hard choice. I want both, too!
Zhong looked around. OK, we can do the plant thing fast. All of the vegetable starts are in this area. And they’re cheap. We get whatever we want, and see how it does. I mean, I don’t even know how anything’s going to grow back there. I always thought it was too shady for vegetables, but after that tree fell down last year, we should have a lot of good light.
Landon hadn’t even known the tree just fell. By the time he met Dustin it was already a neatly cut stump. It felt good to learn the botanical history of the yard, a little bit of doing something together.
Agreed. Landon looked around. I want lots of different colors of tomatoes. Oh, and little pumpkins! No opinions on the rest of it.
Great. Divide and conquer, Zhong agreed. You’re on tomatoes, I’ll get everything else.
