“Maybe. If you’re good.”

“We could go with Neil,” Levi wheedled. “Help him get settled in. Scout out all the best Daddies for him.”

Neil nodded his head. That would be much better. Then, when none of the Daddies gave him a second glance, he could still hang out with his friends by the lake and live vicariously through Levi’s detailed oversharing. He was pretty sure he could go to a kinky weekend if Saul and Levi were there, too.

Saul shook his head. “My simcha, you’ve apparently forgotten that it’s a singles weekend. You know, for people who are trying to find a partner. Which you and I are not. Unless you haven’t told me something?” he teased.

Neil tried to look away, but he wasn’t fast enough. Even if he hadn’t seen the love in both of their eyes, he couldn’t miss the adoration Levi’s voice. “No, Daddy. You’re everything that I need.”

And then there were lots of kissing sounds.

Neil tried to pretend that it didn’t make his heart ache. God, everything that Levi had, Neil just wanted so badly. Not Saul specifically, but that easy acceptance. That doting care. Someone to make up little nicknames just for him.

Someone he could call Daddy.

Just when Neil decided that he should really just sneak away and leave the two of them to the gloriously kinky sex that Levi would no doubt tell him all about later, the couple apparently decided to come up for air.

“Hey, sorry about that,” Saul apologized. “That was rude. We’re done now.”

“I’m not done!” Levi giggled.

Neil turned back just in time to see Saul slap Levi’s ass with a stern command to behave.

Like that was going to work.

Yeah, Neil definitely didn’t want to see whatever was going to happen next. “No worries. I was just about to head out anyway.” Back to his lonely, empty apartment.

Maybe he could even go back into the office this evening. It wasn’t that late, and there were always more billable hours to rack up. He wouldn’t be surprised if one or two of the other lawyers were still there anyway.

He stood up and grabbed his suit jacket off the back of the chair. It was chilly outside, so he put it on, even though he felt stuffy and stodgy in it. Levi was wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and while Saul also wore a suit, he somehow managed to look sharp and fresh.

Neil just felt rumpled and old.

Boring.

No wonder he didn’t have a Daddy.

“Oh, Neeeeiiillll,” Levi strung his name out into two long syllables. He’d somehow made it onto Saul’s lap while Neil hadn’t been looking.

“Yes?”

“I still have your phooooone.” Levi held it up, swinging it lazily to match the sing-song cadence of his voice.

“Can I have it back?” Neil put out his hand. Usually he was up for Levi’s antics, but not when he was feeling so left out.

“Not until you choose. Either five dates or one Destination weekend.”

“I can’t.”

“Nope. You said you wanted my help finding a Daddy. This is how you do it.”

Neil was pretty sure that wasn’t exactly what he had said. But… ugh. Levi was right. The idea of it was terrifying, but he really did need that push to get out there. Meeting guys, though? Daddies who might take one look at him and tell him he was too old and boring? Even Saul had admitted that when he first met Neil, he’d taken him for a Daddy instead of a boy.

Neil squeezed his eyes shut, like it was a magic spell that could hide him away from reality.

It wasn’t working.

“The weekend,” he finally decided. That was far, far less commitment. And there would be other people, so no close scrutiny. “The one close by with the woods and the river.” He could manage that. If no one was interested in him, he could just go off and do his own thing.
