Dammit. That didn’t sound good. Ty was pretty level-headed, and he knew the Meadowlark inside and out. If he or Maria woke Sebastian up with a problem, that meant it was a big problem.
“I’ll be down in ten,” he called through the door.
God dammit. Sebastian’s cock had wilted, but he was still holding Neil’s tight in his fist.
They had five more minutes together. Maybe seven if Sebastian didn’t wash the smell of sex off his body and pulled on the first thing out of his drawer. Honestly, he was likely to do that anyway. He wanted this. He deserved this final few minutes before Neil drove away and he had to deal with whatever new catastrophe had struck the lodge.
“Turn around, baby boy,” he commanded.
Neil turned obediently toward him, eyes worried and expression unsure.
“You’re gonna come for me,” Sebastian grunted. “You’re gonna come hard for me right now.” Then he claimed Neil’s lips.
Neil sobbed into his mouth as Sebastian stroked him faster. There was no finesse, just command and need. Neil’s fingers scrabbled against Sebastian’s shoulders, scratching at his skin. Every sound he made was desperate and needy and heartbreakingly beautiful.
“Come for me, Cricket,” Sebastian growled again.
That was all it took for Neil to arch off the bed, his cries muffled by Sebastian’s heavy kisses.
Sebastian felt a deep heavy thread of possession wind through him. “Good boy. My very, very good boy.”
Neil looked up at him with wondrous eyes. “Thank you, Sir,” he whispered.
Sebastian had to give him just one more kiss. And another. Endless drowning kisses because he needed to store them up.
Then the alarm went off. Dammit.
Sebastian turned it off, reluctantly facing the day. Neil rolled out of bed and Sebastian came after him, going straight to his dresser to find clothes. In his mind he was already going over all the things that could have gone wrong. Flooding in the basement. A leak in the ceiling and all the water damage that would come with it. Live power lines down in the parking lot. He’d dealt with all three before, and he was sure that the lodge could find something just as overwhelming for today’s annoyance. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too expensive.
“Should I come with you?” Neil asked. “Do you need any help?”
That was the moment when Jamie rolled over, bleary eyes trying to track both of them. “What’s going on?”
Sebastian kissed Neil’s forehead. “You should get to your meeting, Cricket.” He used the nickname again just to see Neil light up when he said it. “Whatever it is, we’ll handle it. It’s not like we haven’t had an emergency every other month all year.”
“What’s the emergency?” Jamie piped up, still fuzzy from sleep.
“No idea. Ty banged on the door.” Sebastian tossed a shirt over his head. It was possibly backward but it didn’t matter.
“And you still had time to make Neil scream?”
Neil blushed but Sebastian grinned as he pulled on a pair of jeans. “We were fast. And I thought you were asleep.”
“I was mostly asleep,” Jamie smiled blissfully. “You gave me good dreams.” Then he added with a mischievous smile, “You and Cricket.”
Neil grinned like his happiness was too much to contain when he heard the nickname. Sebastian hadn’t even planned to say it, but since this was the response it got from Neil, he was more than glad that he’d stumbled upon it.
Sebastian turned to Jamie, his hair mussed and pillow creases on his cheek. “Go back to sleep, boy. I’ll wake you if I need you.”
“No,” Jamie shook his head and stumbled out of bed. “I’m coming with you. Chances are you’ll need me anyway.”
Neil started gathering his clothes from the floor. “I’ll be down in a second. I’ve got my things all packed and I can shower in just a minute.”
Sebastian shrugged. Everyone was already awake anyway, and it was sweet that Neil wanted to be involved.
He shoved his feet into a pair of shoes and headed out the door. With each step down the stairs, the warm bubble of the morning faded and his apprehension grew.
He found Ty in the kitchen. All of the ingredients for breakfast were set out, but Ty hadn’t started putting anything together.
