Ash’s heart was melting. They’d kind of gone from day to day so far, but if Zhong was asking for their schedule? It was such a Daddy thing. And a dating thing. And just… aaah! Zhong was pulling them apart. Ash flicked over to their calendar app.
Ash: dammit. i’m booked.
Ash: working late tomorrow to cover part of someone’s shift
Ash: doing an orientation thing for new folks at escape wednesday night but i’m free during the day
Ash: it’s a pup play thing
Ash: disastrous date thursday
Ash: mom and i have the same day off next week and that never happens. i’m meeting her new boyfriend.
Ash: and i need to make something for this art benefit.
Ash: sorry, you didn’t need my whole schedule
Ash: tired and not thinking
Zhong: I liked hearing it. ;)
Daddy wanted to know their schedule. No, definitely not Daddy. Zhong wasn’t a Daddy. Their friend wanted to know their schedule. Because he liked board games and cuddles and feeding Ash. Impossible.
Zhong: How about Wednesday during the day?
Zhong: You can work on your art over here.
Zhong: No pressure, though.
Ash: !!!
Ash: yes yes yes
Ash: please!
They sent a happy puppy for good measure.
Ash: wanna play scrabble?
Zhong: Now? It’s late.
Zhong: You have work tomorrow.
Ash sent back a sad puppy.
Zhong: I’m going to sign off so you can brush your teeth and go to sleep.
Ash felt a pulse of warmth in their belly and arousal somewhere lower. It was so easy to imagine Zhong as Daddy telling them to get ready for bed.
Ash: do i have to?
Zhong: Yes.
Zhong: I won’t be responsible for you falling asleep on the job tomorrow and giving someone the wrong medicine or something.
Ash: i’d probably get the medicine right and then fall into the pool.
Zhong: Exactly. Goodnight! Sleep well.
