I heard some shuffling and moments later Kree was back on the phone.
“Stop using my baby to get me over there then calling her a liar,” I stated as soon as she was back on the line.
“Whatever Lennox. You coming over?” She asked all hopeful and shit.
“Yeah… to pick up Lennyn. Have her ready in an hour,” I stated with finality.
Instead of responding, she hung up in my face.
“Watch Kree beat your ass,” Rook laughed as my other line rang.
“Yeah…” I answered. This was my other business line and muthafuckas knew not to call this shit unless they were ready for me to handle business.
“I need to setup an off-site detail,” the caller said using my code word. Once I heard that, I knew it was legit. I ran an iron-clad system and so far it’s been working for me. I had a few different code words so no matter what it was, I knew where the referral came from.
“Send the details over and I’ll be in touch,” was all I said before I hung up. A few seconds later an email came through.
Dorian Pierce, out of Arbor Point. Goes by the name Peezy. Real estate is his legal front, but he brokers weight on the street. I gave him forty bricks to move, and he switched the load with fake work, sold the real product somewhere else, and took the $1.75 million from the original buyer. One of my men got killed, and another was hit behind it. He tried to put it on my people, but I got proof that Pierce set the whole thing up. The contract is for Pierce only. Everything else you need is attached.
I looked over the email and tucked my phone.
“You good?” Rook asked.
“Yeah. The job is in Arbor Point, so I need to go out there as soon as I can so I can scope things out. I’ll probably head out in a few days to check the scene,” I responded.
“Aight. You know I got you on whatever you need me to do. Go handle your shit,” Rook explained. That’s why he was my boy. It was never no questions asked… just straight action.
“Aight… bet. I’m about to get out of here and go pick up my pretty girl and head out to see my mama. If I’m going out of town, I need to make sure her and Lena are good before I leave.” I shut my computer down and grabbed my phones and keys before I stood to leave. Whatever I didn’t get done, Nia or Rook would check it.
After telling Nia I was leaving for the day, I hopped in my truck and headed straight to my baby mama’s spot out in Magnolia Pointe. Once she had my daughter, I moved her out of Lincoln Terrace, where we grew up, and out here in the suburbs so my daughter could have a better environment to grow up in. I lived about twenty minutes away in Kings Pointe. When I pulled up, I parked behind Kree’s Lexus truck and got out. I had access to get inside, but I chose not to use it unless it was necessary. Ringing the doorbell, I stuck my hands in my sweats and waited for her to come to the door. When she did, you would’ve thought I caught her at a bad time because she was damn near naked, but she knew exactly what she was doing.
“Where’s Lennyn?” I asked as I walked in past her.
“Uhm, she’s in her room. I thought we could spend some time together before you take her,” she flirted.
Kree definitely wasn’t an ugly woman. She just wasn’t the woman I wanted. You can say that she got me by default and even still… she doesn’t really have me. I looked down at her toasted honey skin that was equipped with same dangerous curves. She had on a sports bra type top with the matching shorts, leaving nothing to the imagination. Her hair was dyed in its usual blonde color, but thanks to her cosmetology skills, she had blonde tracks cascading down her back.
“I didn’t come here for that. Go get my daughter,” I stated sternly.
She was pissed, but I didn’t give a fuck. Kree equated getting the dick with a relationship, and I didn’t feel like that right now. No telling how I’d feel when I came back, though.
I watched as she stomped her mad ass upstairs to get my daughter. Moments later, she emerged with Lennyn leading the way.
“Daddy!” She damn near yelled as she ran into my arms.
“Wassup, pretty girl?” I kissed her temple once I had her in my arms.
“Nothing. I was waiting the hour like you said. I set my timer and everything.” She beamed. She had this thing where she would set a timer on her iPad anytime I told her I was coming, and if I was late, she charged me a fee.
“Did I make it on time?” I asked knowing that I did.
“Yeah, You had one-five-zero-zero left,” she called out.
“Bet, but check it. Daddy still gone cover his fee. How about that.” After hearing that, she threw her arms around my neck. “You ready to see Queenie and LeLe?”
She nodded her head.
“Where your words at?” I asked, reminding her to use her words.
